- Caller: us financial services

- Slim replies to Anonym>> i don't know what to do <<
What options does one have to defend themselves against intrusive callers?
• The Do Not Call list (Federal or State)
Works, but is effective against ONLY "legitimate" telemarketers. Political callers, surveys and some other callers are exempt. Scammers ignore the DNC list.
• Shouting, screaming, swearing at the caller
Nope. Does not stop calls. May make you hoarse, and will disturb nearby people.
• Call blocker app, device or service
Could be a good choice (even though the scammers can use fake phone numbers), and some apps are free!
Google "call blocker" for more information, or check your favorite online sales site for a list.
* Your phone provider may also offer blocking services. Check their web page for information.
If you cannot use any of the above defenses, then:
• Do not answer calls from unknown numbers ... let them go to voicemail or answering service
• Do NOT return calls from unknown numbers! All that does is verify your phone number! And, in some cases, those return calls may cost $20 or more to complete.

• If you have a "dumb" cell phone, assign the scammer's number to a group named "scammers" (or similar). Then, assign a silent ringtone to that group.
=== - j peterson| 2 repliesI get calls from 800-270-5612 at least 5x per day. I don't pick up the call but it hangs up almost automatically after 1/2 of a ring.
I called it back the other end answered "this is the location for Peter Potter, I did leave a message for it to remove my number from the calling center or would report them"- Caller: Peter Potter
- jennifer| 1 replyPlease take me off this call list. Not cool.
- Tamianth replies to jenniferDear jennifer ..
800notes is not affiliated with your callers, we are not calling you either. 800notes is a forum for reporting who calls you and any information you may have about the call to share with other forum users. It is highly doubtful that your callers are reading here also. We can't stop anyone from calling you either.
Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.
Other posters indicate this a grant scam operation.

I reached a menu where I was told I would be recorded and to stay on the line for the operator. Then I was forwarded to the voicemail of "Peter Parker" (not Potter), but what would Spider Man want with me? I didn't leave a voicemail, but if they call back I will try to get more information to share with you all.
- IUsedToAnswerEveryCallI do not know this number, but they call frequently. Today the caller left a message and said. "Hello----Hello----Hello", and then hung up. It was right after a call from another number 321-209-7598, which I also do not answer.

- Cydney PageI got a call from the same number 18002705612 an I called back an sent straight to a voice mail then hung up It said it was suppose to be a Peter Parker
- Caller: Peter Parker
- CWG40Peter Parker is a name the Indian loan and grant scammers use repeatedly. Ignore the calls.
- Caller: None
- IUsedToAnswerEveryCallAgain today they called back. I did not answer. They chose to leave the longest message my machine allows. Four minutes. Yes, they stayed on the line with my answering machine, with just enough background noise that it sounded like someone talking gibberish. Funny thing several works were not jumbled. Including "crash", "market", "serious action", "begin litigation", and others; no entire sentence was coherent. The voice did sound like it was the voice of someone talking on the phone next to the phone that called me. I am of the belief that it is pre-recorded background noise intentionally sound scrambled.
- Caller: Toll Free
