- BCI didn't answer when they called but called them back. They gave options for you purchasing, giving someone else permission to purchase or neither of the above. then it asked if I made a purchase of less than a dollar at a cosmetics store (press "1" for yes or "2" for no. They called me by name and asked for the last four digits of my social security number. They put me on hold and no one ever answered.

- Tygerkat replies to Julie SutherlandDo you often look up known phone numbers when there's no logical reason to do so?
- AngelI received a call from this number as well as others in this chat. My bank name is different from others and wonder the authenticity of the call. I called my bank and they never called me for this fraud information.

- Tygerkat replies to TobertInteresting post you wrote there. First you state "Legit", despite having no logical reason to look up a known phone number, but then you mark the call as "scam suspicion". You come across as a confused shill.
- MelBI guess they are back in business because I just received a call from the 1-800 number. They didn't leave a message, but when I called back it references a message left. Asked for the last four of my card number & my social (called back twice to see what it would do) so their format isn't even uniform. I was ON THE PHONE with my bank, dealing with a separate matter, when this number rang in. Definite phishing SCAM.

- TerryI got this call also, but it was right after I had made a purchase online with my bank card. It was my bank verifying the purchase.

- BobGot same call as everyone else did. I hung up and called my credit union and verified that several credit unions use this fraud detection company. In my case this was completely legit. I called the 800 number back and verified the transaction in question, which was legitimate. I am thankful for this service.

- Carol Dayton replies to StevenThey can and have called me using my bank's number and name on the caller ID. It was a scam! Be careful. If you get a call, tell them nothing, then call your bank using the number on the back of your card.
- amaron11This is not spam in my case. It is from the Credit Union of Texas fraud department. This is most likely a number that multiple credit unions use.
I made multiple large charges with my debit card (bills) and one was rejected. The phone call was about the rejected charge.- Caller: Credit Union Fraud Department

- Bendar Paul replies to Is this a scamYes, it is a scam. I got a similar call from a robodialer purporting to be my credit union.
- Bendar PaulClearly a robodialer telling us my wife's debit card had a suspicious transaction. No information about the transaction, and they called our land line to report it. My credit union knows to call my cell number. Clearly a phishing call - do NOT talk to them.
