- B KernCalls several times a day. Leaves message about an email breach on my apple product, with a number to call back. I don't own any apple products. Same message came up under a call with a Seattle area code.
- Caller: Unknown
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- JohnThey called saying there was a security problem with my Apple ID. Oddly, they actually had my legitimate email address! It was a guy obviously from India which I thought was weird because Apple doesn’t outsource their support to India, real Apple support are all North American. They asked for my name and email address when I pressed 1 after the robotic voice said there was a security problem. I’m sure if I went further they would’ve asked for money or my password. Apple would of course never do this but I’m sure they are able to scam others when they have your email address and callerid says AppleCare. Beware.
- Caller: Fake AppleCare

- OZ-ILJust called my cell phone number. Did not answer and from what I read, it is a scam dealing with Apple.

- dupsIt is the apple care number, but if they call you out of the blue with a message, HANG UP! Never talk to them. They can make their caller ID look like APPLE CARE, AND if you have CALL BLOCK, it will block the APPLE CARE number (800) 275-2273. So, it seems like it really is APPLE CARE, but they do not use a 3rd party website to help you. They do not call you to report "suspicious activity" on your icloud account. Apple Care usually uses iTunes whenever you need assistance with an iPad AND you have a PC. So, never give them direct access to your computer unless you are sure it's APPLE CARE. Remember: APPLE CARE WILL NOT CALL YOU UNLESS YOU CALLED THEM, FIRST!
- Caller: IMPOSTOR/FAKE Applecare

Its a post from July 2015, so how do you expect it to "stop telling" anyone who reads it?Quote:so stop telling people that...
Perhaps you should stop showing everyone how much of a "genius" trolls are, eh AppleSauce. - ParnoldFor all you apple device users: Security Alert! I just got this call and the ID showed Applecare and the phone number of 1-800-275-2273. The recorded message says "This is Molly and Applecare has detected unusual activity blah blah blah on one or more of your apple devices..." This is a phishing attempt and they are spoofing apple’s real support number. Hang up on the recorded call and don’t give them any information. I called Apple and they are aware of this one. Apple does call you unless you call them first.
- Caller: Applecare (fake)

- JanellI got a phone call from this number 3 times in 1 day. The voicemail was robotic but alarmed me because it stated that my ICloud Password had been compromised. I called the number back and someone answered after the first ring which I thought was unusual because I was expecting an automated system where you have to press 1 for this and 2 for that before you can get a representative on the line. So please be careful because they have spoofed this phone number to appear just like the real Apple Support number. When I dialed the number myself.. I got the automated system just like I expected, but if you try to call that number back by going to your recent call logs you will get the scammer! They ask you to log into your computer and pull up these URL’s.. don’t do it!! They’re trying to gain access! In order to get a hold of the real Apple Tech Support you have to dial the number yourself and don’t use the recent call option to call the number back

- SomwerGot a call from this number claiming it is Apple Care tech support and that my account was compromised. The robot lady sounded so fake. I searched online and learned that it's a spoof and a scam. I just said NO and hung up.

- JAM| 1 reply1/16/19 calls to multiple family cells and home#. Msg same as other reports- claim to be Apple Support saying iCloud acct or Apple device hacked. The # is Apple but the caller is not. They have Spoofed Apple's #. These guys are as bad as it gets imposing as Apple techs to get access to your computer. They do the same claiming to be Microsoft, Dell, or other. They can also pop-up on your computer with scary alert looking like it is MS saying you have virus, don't shutdown, call immed or they will have to block your MS acct and shut you down so you don't infect their systems. Unbelievably crazy threats. They just won't stop and reporting to govt is useless because govt is shutdown. Doubt a tweet to Trump will help. In off-chance they are Russian or N Korean he won't do anything.
- Caller: Spoofers claiming to be Apple Support

- Jerm replies to JAMReporting to govt is useless whether or not the gov't is shut down....
- JMHReceived a call from this number and the voice message was a computerized voice which said, "in order to speak Apple support representative right now please press 1 or else call us back on our toll-free number 1-866-853-9555. I repeat it 1-866-853-9555. Thank you." Don't know which is creepier, the fake scam or the fake voice lol.
- AnonIf you got a call from this number and you are not expecting this call...then I would question it. Anyone can spoof their number to simulate they are from somewhere else. My recommendation. Hang up. Go to Apple's website and login and see if there's anything wrong. However chances are there's nothing wrong with your account.
Funny that this number came to claim they are from APPLE...PSST SCAMMERS...I DONT OWN A SINGLE APPLE DEVICE! LOL!- Caller: "APPLE SUPPORT" (in quotes because it's spoofed

- DoreneCall said it was AppleCare and I was not to use my financial information associated with my account until I contacted Apple support at the phone number listed. I did not call them back. I called Apple Support which is saved in my phone book. Apple stayed that they will never call you unless you request a phone call back. IT IS SPAM! They emailed me a link to report it.
The spammer even uses a Apple Tech Support phone number so if you search it, it looks legit.- Call type: Scam suspicion
