These criminals called my Android cell phone a few minutes ago. The voicemail caught the recorded message in the middle. It was a recorded robo-message of a woman, American accent, blathering on about press 1 for something,  press 2 to connect with an Apple support advisor. The dumbest part was when the robot said "if you wish to contact us later, please call us on our toll free number 206-309-9231." The scammers are too stupid to know that the number is a Seattle area number, and not one with a toll free "area code".  Idiotic scammers. I have not a single Apple or Mac product.

Yes just got a call from them a minute ago and the person on the phone claimed that my account has been used 6 times overseas.  I acknowledged that I wasn't overseas and they proceeded to "transfer " me to someone who couldn't even give me my account email? He then rushed off the phone after telling me to just go in the store.

Came on here and saw that it was a scam.  I didn't fall for it.

My Google call screening service gave them a chance to say their name and why they were calling but they hung up instead.

Called and left message saying not to use and Apple Product until I call them back  on their direct  number.   866-617-1928.

Received a call from 800-275-2273 saying that there is a problem with my Apple device and to call them for assistance in fixing the problem.  The recording said to call 844-793-4999

Got an unexpected call from this 800 number and a voicemail saying they detected suspicious activity of my apple account. They want you to call another number for discussing this issue. I think it’s a scam.

Just called me, same 'Apple Tech' scam everyone else has gone through. These people are relentless, using multiple numbers.

They have called me several times, the first over a month ago. Well, nothing has been problematic with my Apple account, so I'm pretty sure it's a scam. Also, they used my landline number (on which I get eight or 10 nuisance calls a day) rather than my cell number (that I only give to people I want to hear from). Very sure it's a scam.

Scam! I do not own anything Apple!

I received a call from 800-275-2273 and listened to a recording saying that my Apple account had been compromised and that I should not use my device before I called them back. I didn't call back. I googled the number and I'm glad it took me to this site. Thank you.

Just got this stupid call that even left voicemail. Not an apple customer. Now blocked. Voicemail sounds just like the IRS and SS scam ones, probably the same people!

This is for sure a scam.  I answered the call and they asked you to press 1.  They told me my apple ID was compromised in Russia over 20 times.  I asked him for the apple number and his apple id.  He spit out some random number.  I told him that I was checking out the phone number, and he told me how to go to the website to verify it.  I told him that it wasn't the number that showed up on my phone.  He asked me what number I got, and I repeated it to him.  He said there is a list of several apple numbers and for me to look through it.  I told him that I am checking it out because there is a lot of scammers out there.  He asked if I was logging in through my ipad or computer, I told him it was a separate computer.  Seconds later he hung up the call.

I called Apple support and verified that they will NEVER call you.  I told them of the phantom they put up for copying a apple number, and they told me that there are ways for scammers to copy numbers.  But anytime you have to press 1 to speak to someone you are more often then not being connected to a scammer.  She told me several times that Apple would not call you, and then she spoke about increased security to two-part authentication.  I advise you all to have that on.  None the less never answer a call from Apple as they will not call you much like the IRS.  They don't have time to be answering real calls and being vigilante's to fight scammer crimes.
