- NanceI received a call from Apple Care this morning, using Apple's correct phone no. A recording told me that my Apple device had some security issues and that I should call them back at a different telephone no. which began with 1-888. I should have written it down and called Apple, but instead, I just hung up on them. Definitely a scam caller.
- Caller: Apple Care???

- WoodyGot a robot call that said they were Apple Support. That my Apple computer had been hacked and not to use it for any financial transactions. I could press a number on my keypad and speak with a support person or call 888-xxx-7172. My computer is a Linux and it hasn't been on for days.

- UtpeI've gotten three calls within the past two weeks. This is clearly a scam. The number is spoofed to make it look like it's legitimately from Apple, but it is not. And I do not own any Apple products.

We recently had work done, so I answered the phone thinking it could be them. It was a recording much like everyone else has described ... "Please refrain from using any financial activities on your devices. To speak to an Apple representative press 1" - that is when I hung up. We have one Apple product but have not conducted any financial activities through it.
Glad I came in here and searched the Number.- Caller: Apple Care/Spoofed
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- DaveGot a partial voicemail message (the recorded message starts playing immediately when your voicemail picks up, so you never hear the beginning of it). Robo woman's voice and something about a problem with my Apple device. I was warned not to do anything with my financial data on my device until the issue was resolved. She said to press 1 to speak with tech support or call them back at 888-753-0172. No Thanks.

- Patrick LSame as above. Blocked the number.
- Caller: Scammers
- SarahApple support which would not make sense why they would call. I've received various emails from a fake Apple address too telling me my AppleID has been disabled... funny how I can still access everything!
Looking forward to their call back! :) - post pending moderator approval
