They've called twice today at 11:46am and 3:38pm. Same message both times and it sounded exactly the same, like one message being spoken over another message. I couldn't understand the number they said to call. I could hear something about Apple devices in the background.  I would say NOT  a legitimate call. I'll block it. Would advise the same.

Spoof number of Apple Care. NOT Apple Care. They called several times a day, with a recorded voice from a woman named Molly form Apple Care, saying that my Apple ID has been breached. I returned the call with a call back feature and a foreign woman in a call center confirmed the breach. I said I will just change my password, and she said okay but let me get some more information. I hung up. I called Apple Care by dialing the actual digits, not a callback, and my account is fine.

Did not recognize number, sent to voicemail.  Google search resulted in spoofed Apple number by Pakistani call center scammers.  Horribly recorded message was left on voicemail incomplete and parsed message in robotic female voice "devices in order to speak to Apple support representative right one 855-564-666.  Thank You."  Call back number was different that CID number, and unintelligible, perhaps on purpose.  See attached link https://macfinesse.com/the-latest-scam-is-from-applecare-tech-support/

They just called our landline; the recording was already going without any 'hello' at my end when I picked up. ID said "Applecare", but this isn't Apple, just a scammer trying to convince people it is. The recording, an American female voice, advised me that our 'icloud had been breached' or some such. Press one for a rep, press 2 to repeat. I was tempted to do the repeat so I could record it, but it's not a good idea to respond-- unless you're into scambaiting, in which case go for it. They supplied a number to call: (360) 203-0997 (pretty sure I got that right). Yeah, sure, creeps. This is a typical tech support scam, just robocalling blind to see how many people will bite. We don't do icloud and we don't have a Mac, so they completely struck out on this one-- but it was obvious anyway. As you can see, years ago they used this 800 number for a debt collection scam and now it's tech support scamming instead. If you've never seen scambaiting, go to YouTube and see how people get back at them, waste their time and prank them. They're committing fraud; they're common criminals, so they're fair game. People have even been able to send them viruses. Now THAT'S satisfaction.

This is a perfect example of "spoofing," in which scammers use a legit. number belonging to someone to whom they are in no way connected  and have it appear on your Caller Id to try and fool you.  Know that, unfortunately,  neither your Caller ID  nor who the person/recording claims to be necessarily  provide reliably correct information.  Simply becoming well-informed and wary can save you a great deal of worry.

    blocking, blocking, blocking
800 275 2273 Listed as "Toll Free Call" leaving a robotic message which started in mid statement and something "has been breached" which of course is fishy and left no company name or concrete reason (other than vague recording) for the call.  Someone could be spoofing a legit number though we owe no one, don't have Apple products and wouldn't answer or trust such phone calls; therefore, in my book it's scam, spam, poop. No way would we call this number back or answer, but I thank them for playing. Blocked!  (Please note: if anyone falls for these people's recording - know that they can post here too sounding legit and helpful.)
