- Carolyn1-800-285-8585 keeps calling, asking to reduce interest rates on my credit cards. I hit "1" to speak to someone, asked "can you please remove this number from your calling list?", he replied "no, I cannot". I just laughed, said Thanks, and hung up.

- RosieThis is US Bank's Customer Support number. It is listed on the back of my US Bank Credit Card. They are doing a big push to get business, I think. Yes they do ask for your SS # which is VERY BAD FORM. But for those who are scared, it is a legitimate bank credit card company. The number is on my US bank card. Just refuse to provide your SSN. I refused to do so. I kept saying No! and Support, until I got a real person. But if you don't have an account with them, don't give them your SSN.

- Rosie replies to alize garciaPS: The "reduce interest rates on your credits cards" part is a rather inept way to try to sell you a balance transfer credit card. This is one of the few credit cards advertising at this time (2021) as offering balance transfers.. I selected them online because there wasn't a lot of choice. The balance transfer amount was small, despite my having good credit, but it helped to reduce the amount I'm paying high credit card rates on to 0% for something like 19 months. So it worked for me.
- LalPhone number called with robotic voice saying, "This is Andrea from US BANK, calling for <My Name>. If this is <My Name> press 1, if not, press 2." My name was said in a pre-recorded human voice. I think this is spam from what I've read.

- KatTalk to a lady, did offer credit card interest rate and to help transfer any debts to that card ( if I’m approved). Mention this is from US Banks and that upon permission they would do application to see if I qualify and mail out a card if I am approved. She already verified all my info and did not ask for any credit card numbers or bank info. Just basics application stuff. Didn’t ask for my full social.
I am sure this is all shared I formation from my other credit card accounts.
She is reading off a script for sure which is a common telemarketing thing.
I don’t think they are gonna rip me off.
I will see what comes in the mail.
This was something I was looking in to so we will see what happens.- Caller: 1-866-479-2822

- RogerGot a Robo call offering me lower interest rates on my Chase Credit Account. I think it is a scammer after personal information to commit fraud. Reporting to the FTC

- Jdv replies to Grandpathat’s exactly what happened to me!!
- JeffIMPORTANT! U.S. Bank will never call or email you to ask for your account number or other confidential information. The only time we might ask for personal information (such as the last four digits of your Social Security Number) is when you contact us.
- TillieHave had 2 calls from this number. Identified as Fraud Dept for “US Bank.” (There is a REAL US BANK, but this isn’t it! ). First time I was told my credit card had been compromised & needed to be cancelled & I would be sent a new card. Never got new card so, after 2+ weeks, I called MY number for US Bank myself. There hadn’t been a problem with my card at all. It was a scam, to what end, I’m not sure. Again, the second time, “Jason” told me my credit card had been compromised to the tune of $14,000 & needed to be cancelled & a new one issued. I said I’d prefer to hang up & contact US Bank fraud dept myself. He kept insisting that he was the real fraud dept, that my card had been cancelled & I’d get a new one. I hung up & called the real US Bank (1-800-890-2233). Again, customer service rep checked and told me there were no suspicious charges on my card and it had not been cancelled. Very sad that these sorry fraudsters have nothing more worthwhile in their lives, nothing more constructive to do than to waste, not only our time, but their own time as well. Like children they are; more’s the pity.

- Mom of 2"Bryan Williams" (who could not speak English) called my mom saying he was from Consumer Credit Group and had her bday, SSN & address. Said they noticed she had a lot of credit debt and for a small monthly fee they could pay her interest. She told them that she had to talk it over with me 1st. She then went to the bank, who told her it was a scam, then they flagged her account for suspicious activity. I am on her account and check it online daily. He told her to call him back @ 800-285-8585, which I called and it was USA Bank. We don't have any accounts with them.
