- Sickofscamcalls| 1 replyClaimed to be AT&T. Heavy foreign accent I could not understand so I hung up. Called AT&T to verify if they called me and why. They could not verify it but tried to sell me additional phone services I didn’t want. What a racket.

Pretty typical scam/phishing call, but just in case anybody is wondering, I called my cell company, they said everything on my account is fine, and that they’ve heard from other people reporting similar calls, and that they’ll never call or robocall asking for information.- Caller: Service/Support scam

- SpammersshouldburnGot one of those calls on my cell this morning, thought the number looked familiar. Sure enough it is a spoofed ATT number, I don't have ATT currently but did for years. Just hang up, don't talk to them, if you get a message delete it, these people are trying to get your information.

- SharonReceived call from a female with a very heavy foreign accent saying she was with ATT/Direct TV. She asked if I wanted to get my payments lowered. If so, to give her my account number, etc and she would set me up with a promotion. I suspected it was a scam and told her if she was an ATT/Direct TV employee she should already have that info. I asked what the promotion was that would save me money and she said I WOULD FIRST NEED TO PAY $99.99 and then I would be given a promo code and an phone number to call to start receiving a discount. She kept asking for my account# and I told her she should already have that information and if she told me the account# she had I could confirm if it was correct or not. SHE PUT ME ON HOLD FOR A LONG TIME and then came back with an acct#. Apparently, when she had placed me on hold, she called ATT/Direct TV CLAIMING TO BE ME. I told her I would not be paying them anything and she finally hung up. I then received a call from a real rep from ATT/Direct TV to let me know they had just received a call from a heavily accented female claiming to be me and trying to get info on my account. They refused to give her info because she provided them with an incorrect PIN# and incorrect answers for security questions. They noted on my account that it was a fraudulent call.
