I just tried calling the number back - the person said "thank you for calling the mesothelioma hotline"?  No thanks

This number called me, and did not tell me why they were calling, could not even understand the person talking to me.  Hung up.  I called back and got another person that I was unable to understand, and the first thing they said to me is what is your phone number.  Really, you just called me.  They hung up.

Received call, they didn't leave a message. I record and transcribe all calls, am guessing that they figured that out and hung up because of that.

This number called about 6-8 times within a few minutes. Finally answered and the man stated it was UCB about an account for a medical bill in collections from 2016. Nope not for me I have no debt outstanding. Then stated he could send me a bill and tried to get me to verify my address. I asked what the bill was for again and he fumbled around supposedly getting information. That he didn't have much information. I said there must be a hospital or doctor listed who the debt is from. I finally hung up and blocked the number.

I had received several calls from this number and they hang up when I answer that I am the name they are looking for. I finally called back and asked what they want. A man claimed to be calling about debt collection and I said that I have no debt in collection. He said, “you will.” Then hung up.
I blocked them.

this number contacted me about a month ago about an outstanding bill in my name. From Children’s Hospital. It sounded familiar so I told the gentleman on the phone that I would have my insurance give them a call. Called them back to get a bill sent to my address and they said they had no record of my name. And asked for my Social Security number. I was stupid enough to give it to them . Still now “record” of my name in the system .

I returned a missed phone call placed to my phone.  He immediately asked what was my phone number.  He wanted my birth date.  He said he was a collection bureau.  I knew right away that was garbage because I don't have anything in collections.  He said he couldn't proceed without my personal information.  I said nope! and then I hung up.   The man did sound legit customer service but I'm sure a scam.

I don't answer numbers I don't recognize Even if they're the same first three.  Sent to voicemail. None wad left so I blocked the number.

Received a missed call and voicemail from this number.  This is the transcript from the message... "It's Melissa and I have an important message from United Collection Bureau Incorporated. This call is from a debt collector. This is an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose. Please call 1-800-297-6901. Thank you."  I will not be calling the number back.

I have 2 “missed calls” from them today — my phone did a half ring then stopped. It seemed as though they were trying to verify that the number worked without actually allowing the call to be answered. One more time and ill be blocking the number.

Left a message that it was a collection agency,  call back number was different than caller ID. Could barely understand the person on the message,  broken English.  I have no outstanding debts.  I suspect scam

They leave messages but not what it is about beside a "debt".  They want a lot of information from you first and won't give you any details.

It is from united collections. I do not have any debts to be collected on. In the past I have gotten calls on my mobile number for the past owner of my cell phone number. So every time his debt is sold to another company, I get a new round of calls. I didn't answer the call, but they did leave a voice mail. They did not tell me what debt they are trying to collect on.
