- Caitlin manning| 1 replyI got a call from this number today saying that I owe them $3500 today for a car accident I got into last year. I initially believed them and told them I can’t pay that today and they put me on hold and told me they would accept half today and I could pay monthly installments of $200 instead. It’s a little weird how they asked for payment today - normally lawyers will give you multiple options and will always leave a paper trail. They said if I didn’t pay today that they would suspend my license and after looking up the number 100s of other people have been in the San situation. They call themselves Wilber and associates and they work with State Farm insurance. I’m 100% sure this is a scam and they are trying to rip off many people for money. It’s unfair to cause so much emotional and financial stress on someone - there should be legal consequences.

- Ok replies to Caitlin manningyou believed them that you owed for an accident? Did you have said accident? Did you have insurance at the time? If you did not you have problems and need to consult an attorney. If you did, then you need to give this to the insurance company and let them handle. That latter is something I would think everyone would know and have the commonsense to do.
- Sarah replies to BS ScamYour story is identical to mine they threading to take my license and wot send me paper work from shop and the accident happened 2 yrs ago, what happened with this agency did you get your license taken away or Anthony they still call me everyday
- Krystal| 1 replyA lady named Justice contacted me from Wilbur and associates on behalf of USAA saying I owe $7,689 for an accident I was involved in March of this year. While I'm aware I owe this money, I already had a payment plan set up with AFNI and had already began making payments, the original cost was $11,468. I was making payments and planned on paying the remainder in February. So I don't understand why USAA would transfer the case to this out of state nobody "law firm" and attempt to take me to court. When I told Justice this she got very rude and said they wouldn't wait until February to accept a payment. If this is a law firm why are they asking for payment?! When I said I couldn't make the payment right now she then threatened to suspend my license and registration and send me a summons to appear in court. I told her to go ahead and hung up on her. She contacted my mother-in-law and her boyfriend and my sister who have absolutely nothing to do with this matter.

- BigA replies to KrystalWilbur is a subrogation firm. That is different from from a debt collector. You will need to obtain the services of an attorney to handle this or else you may end up paying twice. Next time you should think really, really hard about getting behind the wheel without insurance.
- Angry EngineerGot a letter from them for my spouse claiming to represent USAA insurance for a loss of $4843, presumably from an accident. Utter and total nonsense. They claimed from an accident on 10/19/19. Called USAA, they of course had no judgements or claims against my spouse, and we haven't been involved in any accidents. Period. Racking our brains trying to figure out if one of the kids may have had an accident and didn't tell us...when it hit us. On the date in question, my spouse was a WITNESS to a felony hit and run, and her name is on the police report. These idiots need to stop. They obviously assume that my wife was in the accident, not just a witness, and therefore we're gullible enough to pay. So now I'm considering turning this over to my good friends...one of which is is the county prosecutor, and the other is a district court judge.

- Marline| 1 replyAnother call from Wilber to my sister in law that we both should pay $15000 for the accident over a year ago , and her license would be taken away by the state . Whenever we ask for a letter , we told that letter sent out many time in which we didn’t receive any . The lady said breeze can or May blow mail away . We have a mailbox that has covered .whenever we try to ask a question or ask them to send words in writing she saying you are yelling and I will put you decline .
- BigA replies to MarlineYou should simply let your insurance company handle this. That is their job. You won't get anywhere with this outfit otherwise.
- Paris HarleyPretended to be an insurance agent and that I owed 7,000 something dollars and if I didn’t pay my license would be suspended. Had my attorney call and they wouldn’t speak to him.

- Shay Chylinski| 1 replyI was going to say what I was feeling , then realized my message would be removed. Courtney with Wilber what ever I don’t appreciate her calling me giving me a claim from 2019 July accident where I bumped another drivers car and no injuries were reported and her telling me they had proof of the other drivers injuries and that I had to pay 6000$ and would I like to make a payment over the phone with 0 evidence and proof that what she was saying had any truth behind it . I asked her for the claim and I called my insurance, and they said that that claim was for a windshield that I had to replaced. I asked her to check the claim for when I was involved in the 2019 accident and my insurance agent said that the attorney working in that case was with Farro and Farro. Not Wilber. Courtney went on to say that because I refuse to make any payments with her over the phone that she was going to send a letter to the state to have my license suspended. She didn’t like what I had to say to her about that.

- BigA replies to Shay ChylinskiYou should have simply given them the name of your insurance company and let them handle it.
- Ali replies to BS Scam| 1 replyThis is happening to me in 2023, they are threatening to suspend my license and I was very scared. My insurance agent said unless someone sues me I don't have to pay anything. The Wilber person said "this is SuBrOgAtIoNs" and then I hung up. I have all the legally required insurance. This has caused me so much stress
- BigA replies to AliYour insurance company should be handling this. Yes, this is subrogation. They cannot suspend your license only the DMV can do that for a motor vehicle code infraction. If you had insurance then you should simply tell them to file a claim and not contact you anymore.
- CasvalThese people call me repeatedly, sometimes multiple times a day. I have blocked their number, but they still call. According to my call history they have called me 87 times. Worst part is that they don't even have the right number, but are calling for someone who had my number before me, at least five years ago. I get calls and texts for this person all the time, but these people call me more than anyone else. Supposedly they're a debt collector, but a lot of people say that they're a scam. Either way, I wish they would leave me alone. After 87 times you'd think they'd try to find the right phone number for this guy, but nope. They still keep calling.
