Very rude. This gatekeeper did not patch call thru! Your services is not needed here.

I was called by someone claiming to be a private investigator for a company called CNA Inc.
Was told he was hired by them & I should call this 800#.  But then he gave me a bogus case # and tried to intimidate me with claims to be launching an investigation.

Rcvd a call for accounts recievable, I asked who was calling and what it was pertaining to he said Rick from CoFax...(at least that is what I heard...lol...you know how they try to act as if everyone here should know them by name and put the call right thru as if they are expecting the call) Anyways told him I would have them call back if they were interested...lol...after leaving this message here, it is going in the trash.

The owner of the company I work for gets several calls per day from scammers/telemarketers. This one, CoFace, first made it sound like they were collecting on a debt owed by our company, then claimed that they were holding a large check for us after collecting on a debt on behalf of our company (yeah right) and who would they talk to for processing it. Places like this are becoming more agressive and will say whatever it takes to get through. I've become quite good over the years at figuring out how to push things right back at these scammers. Some days, it's kind of fun.

got a call from Katie at Copa (or cofax don't know) and she said to call her back at 800-318-6494 and dial extension 223

After reviewing this site I called and left her message that 1) I owe no body any money, 2) Don't ever call my company again, 3) checked online and saw they are just a bunch of scammers.

Then hung up!

Got a call from a Paul Gerber from 360-906-8022. He claimed he was a licensed private investigator performing a Asset & Liability investigation. Said he was hired by CNA Inc. and told me any questions regarding the investigation should be directed to 800-318-6494 ext 2369 and ask for Michael Lang.
This is a scam. I researched this info online and found more than a dozen complaints. Do not amuse any person calling from this number by giving them any information.

Got a call from Paul Gerber at 360-597-1169. Claimed he was a ...Same story as Office Drone. Said to call Bill Turner back at 800-318-6494 ext 2263 with a case #.....Not gonna happen buddy!

Just the facts, please.  What is the scam?  Unless proven otherwise, you received the call due to not paying a vendor.

I had the same issue Paul Gerber, private investigator,  all sorts of claims assets etc. I hope this complaint will help stop them from calling. This is a great tool but does it stop the calls?  Horrible stuff lol!

Got a call from OC Corbin at this number. Asked me to call back w/ a case #. Said the company was FAS (?) North America. Didn't really say the name too clearly. It's a collection agency trying to get business.

Received a call from some Alexander, claiming some private investigation. It is a load of rubbish.

Male caller asking for the CFO or Controller I told him we don't have anyone with those titles.  He said could he speak to the owner and I told him no.  I can take a message and he said his name was Floyd at this number x3004 and wants to do business with us.  never identified his company or what sort of business.

They are sending very threatening letters with Civil Litigation action towards my business regarding collecting and demanding  a large sum of money or else from a bogus Insurance Company  with numerous calls to my business. I have checked with my Broker and he had never heard from Harbor America Specialty Broker and I have no history of ever had a policy with them. They do have a website but that doesn't mean anything these days. Not for a scam. They try to make things seam real and related to each individual.
I would love to catch this person and send them to jail and throw away the key. I have turned my attorney on this and they will be reported and hopefully sent to prison. The annoying person claims to be Steve Rice with Coface Collections North America. Don't fall for this and don't bother with these people!

I got a call from this same #, ext. 2351. Person said he was Steve Rice, a Private Investigator, trying to collect a debt for a company that we deal with. He named the company, which was legit, but I doubt very seriously if they hired him to do this. i will be calling the company that we do business with and inquire though.

Had same call from this number and by the name of Gerber.   Same intimidating rude guy who knew nothing of why he was calling.   He was actually calling for someone in our company not our company, and made all kinds of legal claims, but couldn't even tell you what it was about.  We the company did not owe anyone any amount of money.....he said he was hired by another collection agency Global Solutions.....Anyone getting these calls should stop him in his tracks and tell him to email the information to you or fax...I wouldn't put up with his rude behavior.    We are a service company and try to be nice to everyone but this man wouldn't even let you be nice or try to be helpful.     I really want him to call again and I'll tell him just what I think about people like him.   I'll be ready next time.
