Called my phone and minutes later called my wife's. Poor grammar and sounded slightly middle eastern, may be seeking money for terrorists. Some prayer message.

They called my cell phone this evening.  The guy spoke broken English so I promptly hung up on him and added the telephone number to my "unknown" caller list which blocks them from ringing my telephone in the future.

Called my cell and my car's onstar that I bought minutes for. Prophet mannasseh...

This jive turkey [***] wants me to call another number to pray for me - [***] your ass.

Prayer crap that I didn't ask for. It's pretty bad when religious groups are telemarketing for your money as well.

Answered the call, recorded message about prayer group urging me to press 0 and give them my info...pressed 3 to be removed and hope that they don't call again!

Just got a spam call about The Prayer Closet. I feel both annoyed & amused. (Any 19 Kids & Counting fans will understand my amusement). Going to report this number anyway.

Discovered the message on my cell phone. It had come yesterday, but we're not big cell-phone users; I just happened to press Message to make sure I didn't have any. Surprise.
However, a couple of things that might help those who, like us, might get charged for calls we receive: One, we don't get charged  IF  we don't answer them. So, of course, don't answer if you don't know who's calling.  If the caller's legit, they'll leave a legit message.  (This obviously is a huge scam--25 pages of posts on here for the call-back number and 8 pages for the prayer one????!!!!.)
Then, two, check to see IF, when you turn your cell phone off and then call into it from a landline to get your messages, it won't  cost you. At least with our TracFone that's how it works, and I'm grateful for it--otherwise I think I'd get rid of a cell phone altogether. So at least I didn't have to pay to hear this scumbag's message.
But it is discouraging to think that these people still seem to operate, no matter how many reports the FTC/FCC/Do Not Call people get. I think 800Notes should be required reading for each agency.
Till then, as someone said, keep reporting the scammers  . . . maybe one of us will be the final straw pushing some action.

Maybe it is just a sign to remind us that everything really will be ok. I kinda found it comforting because a family member of mine is really sick. I'm calling it because I believe in God and I'm proud of it!

I think my cell number was added intentionally to the prayer closet call list by someone else because I just sarcastically told this someone I would pray for them. Pretty funny :( NOT Probably have to change my cell number now.

Received the same call re: being added to a prayer closet... several call from this 800 # over the past few days from a repeat autodialer.  I did call the number on the recording to be removed from the list.

There is an 800 # to call to get your name ph# 800/318-3684. It's sad that scammers like this give real believers and prayer a bad name.

I just received a call from the prayer closet. Asking me to press one to transfer me to someone. I waited until the end of the call and then it said if you wish to be removed from our call list press two. So I did. We will see if they don't call again. Wonder where they got my number. :-(
