- OhioJust received a message stating I would be getting papers in the mail. They would only make two attempts. Call this number. I did not call back.
- Total bogusjust received an automated call in california...."papers will be delivered only twice...better call..blah blah..."
- Scam ArtistsI too...just got this ridiculous phone call...it definitely left me unsettled. I got the call from 786 522 1527...with a message from Amy O'Neil calling from the private servicing division of Accufile, stating that I would be served with legal papers at home or work and that they would only make two attempts....exactly the same message the other folks have posted previously. I called back the number she left... 1 800 340 5219....a man by the name of Vince Adams answered and stated I had a Verizon debt from Aug 2009 in the amount of $525...basically said if I didn't pay it would go to court...and that would cost an extra $1500 in lawyer fees and $1000 in court costs. Mind you, I don't ever recall having Verizon as a service on my cell. He said they sent me a demand letter back in August of this year and now are pursuing a civil suit. He even knew my social security number. I told him I never recieved such a letter and asked that they send me something in writing...he asked me for my email address, I gave it to him. Then he asked me for my address...at which point I realized he should have it if he sent me something in August....I then asked him to tell me my address; he spouted off my completely different address, not even close to mine...at which point my light buld finally went off. He then said, he would email me something within 30 minutes...that was about 2 hours ago..I recieved nothing. He said that if I didn't pay by 5 pm this afternoon, the civil suit would move forward. He said I could contact him at the 800 number I called to pay it, and that his extension was #205. I told him I needed to review it in writing with my attonery. Needless to say, I'm glad I found this sight and realized that this was all a scam. Now I have to report the potential identity theft. He definitely did use scare tactics, he had my attention. regards dm Hope this helps someone else.

- tired of callsGot the call from Amy and given the 800 to call. Did so and was given a case number. They then asked for my SS number and I replied "Are you Crazy". Then was asked if willing to put amount owed on a credit card. Asked whom did I owe and how much but was told that was all they could tell me until they got the SS number. She reminded me that this was concerning a civil lawsuit and I gave her my attorney's phone number. She hung up.

- CWG40That Amy O'Neil gets around. She calls on at least four separate numbers that I know if. Doesn't she realize that her name (or whatever she is calling herself these days) along with Accufile and T&N are splattered all over the various anti-scam sites as participants in debt scamming?
Rule: You pick up a phone and hear the name Amy O'Neil, you put the phone down and block the call. Problem solved.- Caller: None
- New YorkThese calls stopped after I submitted my complaint here in December, however my message is not included on your list of people. Now they started calling again today, 1/5/15. Is there something your company is doing to stop these calls?

- NancyI received a call from T & H sating that I owed an old phone bill from 2006. When I told him I didn't have that phone number he stated I would be receiving papers for a summons. He was very unprofessional. I called Embarg to see if I did owe anything and they said no. I called him back and the woman accidently put me through and I could hear everything they were saying which was how they got people to give them money. I heard the whole conversation. They were cutting up and cursing in the background and bragging about how they had talked to some older woman.

- Jen from NY| 1 replyI have received several calls from Accu file and this Amy person and when I called the one 800 number some guy threatened to take me to court with a civil lawsuit from a phone from over 16 years ago with sprint which I never had. I told him there was no way I had a phone in sprint down in Florida and that they can stick it and that I was reporting him to the consumer Financial protection bureau now that I know for sure this is definitely a scam I will be making sure that my report is filed whatever you do don't give them any information.

- Casper Iam replies to Jen from NYI am in OR, and have received these calls every few days - so annoying! I called, finally, and when they told me I owed a large amount for a phone bill and would take me to court, I told them that would be wonderful, I love a good court battle and have nothing better to do right now - and hung up! Wonder if I will get any more calls from them now. ;)

- CarrieI got a call from that Oneil girl also telling me to call this number 800-340-5219 and I talked to a guy named Dave McNeal who emailed me a settlement agreement for a Sprint bill from the year 2000' he said was for $570.86. He said I had 24 hours to reply or I was going to be served with civil suit papers and it could end up costing me thousands of dollars. He said they would accept $285.43. I came home and searched for old receipts, I am pretty sure I had paid this bill a couple of years ago because I was buying a house and was getting my credit in order. I could not find the receipt as of yet but did find the old bill and the total amount of the bill was $270.86, Wow, big difference in what he said I owed. I'm glad I came upon this site and see that it was a scam before I paid the bill. I was planning on paying it tomorrow. I'm going to call Sprint and ask them who is handling their old collections and see if they can give me any information if I have already paid this bill or not. I'm pretty sure I have because I have since had an account with Sprint who I am sure would not have signed me up if I owed them money.
