I am the receptionist at a company in Buffalo, NY. One employee in particular has been plagued by an onslaught of telemarketing calls, especially "quick-cash," "payday-loan," and other cheezy scam calls. My job is to screen and weed them out.  Today we got a call from "Timmy," who speaks with an African-American dialect. Said he was calling from "O.C.C."  When I asked for the full name of his company he refused, because it was "personal." I explained that the initials of his company must stand for something, but he wasn't too quick on the uptake. I asked what the call was regarding, and he refused to say, just repeated that it was "personal." When I asked if our employee was expecting his call, Timmy said, "No." He then read from a piece of paper that he was "calling on a recorded and monitored line." I took his info and reported on this database.

Martin called. Same issue as explained above. He asked for my friend and would not expand any more. Just said occ and the call may be recorded.

message left on my home phone saying that "my husbands name " was listed as a refrence for "his brother name ", and that they were unable to contact him.  To please have him call 1-800-348-9418 ext 743 and ask for Clark.

I did call that # and asked Clark what this is reguarding.  He said it was a personal matter and that everytime they called his # there was no answer and not even a message machine.  I told him that we have no contact w/ this brother and he does not have permission to list my husband as a refrence. I told Clark I could not help him.

Russell from OCC called and said I was a reference for a former babysitter of ours, Jade. Said the message would be recorded. Said I should tell her to call 1-800-348-9418 ext 703 and ask for Russell. When I probed about the nature of the call, he said it is regarding his company - OCC. When I asked what OCC stood for, he said I should ask Jade - she would know.

What is this about???

This is a call from One Click Cash - a payday loan company - tell them to stop calling the work number - they most likely will not stop but just hang up.

Just recieved a call on my cell and my work number..i work for an attorney this doesnt look good on my part. They left a message saying occ but after reading these notes from all of you i know what i need to do. Thank u guys

Called and was asking if I could have a friend call the number. no info

1-800-349-9418- This number called me and asked for me by name. I asked what it was in reference to and she responded that it was OCC. When I asked what this stood for the woman got angry, wouldn't answer me, and asked for me by name again. I told her I couldn't help her and she hung up. My boyfriend was the victim of a loan scam a few months ago and I had left the phony company a voicemail with my name and # when we suspected it was a fake. Union City Financial/Valley Park Financial was the name of their supposed company. OCC is clearly another scam somehow associated with the first scheme!!!

This is a collection company called OCC.  I have been receiving calls from them because someone listed me as a reference.  They will not stop call me, since i am the only one who will answer their calls

Just spoke with them again.  the actual company is called One Click Cash.  i presume it some sort of check in advance.

Called at my POE and said I had a loan and did not have been paid off. 3 weeks ago..They were trying to get more money ..They kept on going and told them not to call at POE..

How can I stop them to call me??? They are aggressive, calling me every minute.

I got this called today at my job from someone name Chris at this number 1-800-349-9418 Ext 731 the message he left was that I need to call OCC by 4pm tomorrow I called back an I wasn't able to understand what they are saying an I ask what company this is an he hung up.

Received a call from O.C.C.,Chris at ext. 731, ask for my son and I told them I ask him what occ stood for and he said it was personal, HIPA  act and all that crap.I  told my son , a retired police officer, and he said it was a scam,

Got a call from this number on my cell phone this morning.  They did leave a message asking for someone I do not know, obviously a wrong number.  This happens quite frequently over a year or so, always a name I do not recognize.  Next time will answer and tell them so as I have done in past.

Got this call again this morning.  Do they not listen to the voice message when it kicks in?  Couldn't understand a word in the message that was left.  Well, they can just keep calling and leaving messages.  I've decided not to answer them, the call is not for me or anyone I know.  It is miserable talking to people you can't understand anyway.
