- rob| 7 repliesthis number was left in a message as the callback number from 844-308-6820. It's an obvious fake Microsoft phishing scam.
- SueJust received a call from 1-844-308-6820 and it was a recording telling me to call 1-800-360-0998 because my Microsoft key was getting ready to expire; figured it is a scam.
- Caller: claimed to be Microsoft
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Justin| 11 repliesA scam from India or the Middle East. The scammers are using SpoofCard to gain access to your PC using a remote viewer like Team Viewer. Once in, they invoke a trojan that downloads your disk to their server where they pick through your info looking to steal your identity. Just another phishing scam but the beauty of this one is that Interpol is very close to busting SpoofCard and will have the IP and MAC addresses of these scammers. Once that happens, these idiots will be extradited to multiple countries where they will do some serious time. If you haven't interacting with these bozos, they are quite crude telling your what they are going to do to your mother, your wife, your sister, ... It will be great to read about what happens to them when they wind up in US jails.

- Las replies to Justin| 9 repliesThis is harassment. Today, 1/25/2017 I have received no less than seven auto calls so far, averaging two per hour, on vm requesting a return call to 800-360-0988 due to expired Microsoft. Don't have Microsoft and reported this on one such call back two weeks ago.Told them they were phishing, they hung up. Who do I report this to for investigative channels?

- JAH replies to Las| 4 repliesGot home yesterday to 7 of these messages on our voice mail saying to call 800-360-0998 cause our Microsoft License key has expired and everything is going to be shut down. Amazing as we just very recently purchased new software and license. Leaving 7 messages was a dead give-away that it was a SCAM.
- GoldieLocks replies to rob| 2 repliesI received 3 calls from fake microsoft w/in 1 hour. I called the phone company. no help. I decided to bombard the 800-360-0998 callback number relentlessly. It worked. The number eventually became disconnected, but I just kept it up. They would answer, I'd give them a piece of my mind and they would hang up. I then started keeping silent. They would say hello hello hello....then hang up. I think it worked because I can't call that number anymore so they are not giving it out as a call back. They will switch to another number they hijack i'm sure, but if we all harass them immediately - (get your family & friends to make massive calls one after the other) they will stop. got to do this to them everytime. Post the number on facebook. It only took 1 hour for 1 person using 2 different phone (home & cell) to make them stop. Good luck. We must fight back viciously! CALL CALL CALL CALL CALL CALL CALL CALL CALL (REDIAL IS EASY TO KEEP HITTING) Not a lot of effort to bug them back. btw, only 3 people were answering their call back line. peon thugs.
- FrankTried telling me my Microsoft key was expired even though I use a _MAC_! Welcome to my blocklist. They even tried calling a few times after they got blocked!
- GoldieLocks| 1 replyI called the number back rentlessly harassing them, within 1 hour the number was disconnected. (I will try calling it later today to start the harassment again - he he). They hang up right away, but if you are using 2 phones, you keep them busy. There were only 3 voices answering the number. I could tell they were annoyed with my calls. Get you family & friends to call the crap out of the call back number until they disconnect it. Keep this up. As long as you and your friends are bugging them, they can't rip anyone off. :-) Redial is easy to keep pushing. No effort at all.
- Caller: Fake Microsoft
- GOLDIE| 1 replyFollow up to goldielock post. The 800-360-0998 is still messed up! Just getting a busy signal now. Will try this technique again if it happens and will post results as well. This actually might be the solution. Post the number on facebook and millions could call at an instant. We could as a GROUP put these slim balls out of business.
