Decided to interrupt my screening and waste their time by punching "1".  Couldn't have any fun.  "All agents are busy.  Leave your name & number and we'll call you back."  What a racket!

Who are you talking to?  Nobody at this website is calling you.  Invest in a call blocker and DO NOT pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.  You might want to block the 800 area code; it is often used by scammers.

800-373-3411 called me & left voicemails. I keep getting msgs. from some company that doesn’t  leave their name. They leave prepared voice messages re: carpet cleaning... I don’t answer calls that don’t disclose their name on caller ID. They will remain in the "Blocked Calls” folder. 📞

I called tech support for my security camera and spoke to a guy with a very heavy accent that I could barely understand who asked me to verify name, address and phone. Then he asks for a current credit card number for verification purposes. Over and over, I refused to provide any financial info just for tech support. He finally gave me this 800 number saying that if I call it, it will verify my identity through a series of questions. I don’t know how the security camera tech support got routed to this guy, but I was immediately suspicious when he started asking for financial info and then gave me this 800 number to call.

I was attempting to call my alarm co, but missed the # by one digit. The man on the line asked to verify my info, which I did. He then read some kind of message, which I could not understand, because his accent was very strong. The next thing I know he is wanting me to listen to an automatic recording. It was to give me a conf. Code. Once I did that, he then gave me a # to call. That # was the one listed above and all it did was give me my phone #. All this time I kept asking him if he was with my alarm co, of which I did not receive an answer. After We hung up, I began to research these #s. I knew it had to be a scam. I contacted my bank and found all was well. The # I called was 1 800 817 3819, which was not found. It amazes me how they can use a # that does not exist. I never found out what co. he was with, but I did hear a recording that seemed to advertise different businesses. Lesson Learned.

You called it and you were connected therefore it does "exist".  I'm not sure how you could think otherwise.  My guess is that you are going to get a really big phone bill shortly.  I don't know what other information you gave him because you didn't post those details.

Amex representative gave me a number to call to reach another department.  When I called I spoke with a man named Charles who I thought was an Amex employee.  Obviously he wasn't! After giving him my Amex information, confirming my billing address, he gave me another number to call which was this 800-373-3411.  It's obviously a scam and they immediately charged my Amex for some kind of membership.  Luckily I had immediately called Amex fraud and they stopped the charge. The number I dialed previously was 877-399-9083.  I would be cautious of calling that number as well.

    Me Again!
Appears that this number is used for a bunch of various and sundry scams.  I did call the number back and first it said it was Direct TV, then it switched to some sort of Information service and finally it said it was "Frontier Communications providers of high speed internet".  I was curious to see if it connected me to an Indian call center and when I pressed 1 it did.  So they are probably working different angles to get personal information from people.  Blocked!
