They called me and didn't leave a message either. I searched the number on Google and found it on their website under contact us as you can see here: https://www.safelinkwireless.com/EnrollmentPublic/technical_svc.aspx- Caller: Safelink Wireless

- ts13209 replies to Phone| 2 repliesI have a Safelink also and received a call from this number on my home phone, (I did not answer as I didn't recognize the number, but after looking it up I see who called.)I use my phone for emergencies only like when the school needs to contact me about my kids and such, so I leave it off most of the time. If you happen to have it off during the time period at the beginning of the month you still will get your monthly minutes. Just turn on the phone and when it is on hit the button to the right of the big circular button in the center( it's marked in a red "END")your phone will beep and the new minutes will be added at this time. I discovered this by accident this morning when I turned my phone on for the first time in 2 weeks to see if any minutes had been added. When I went to turn it off is when I discovered this.
- phone 2Don't have an account with them. They are calling my home phone every day. I called them up to get them to stop. They said since I don't have an account they cannot help me. They claim that they don't have a call list to remove me from. I have turned them into the do not call registry

- Bj| 2 repliesDon't have a safelink phone so I don't know why they're calling me.
- MaddyCall was Saturday, 6/8 at 4:41 p.m. I was out. There was no message. Caller ID said UNKNOWN CALLER. But from what I see here, it was Safelink. I do have a Safelink phone/account. I qualified for it because I get some social services, yada, yada, yada! I want it for when I'm not home or in case my cable phone goes down. Now it seems that you MUST make at least one call a month or they want to discontinue your service. I'm guessing that's why they called me. It's annoying really, but there is no other source for service like this.
- Caller: UNKNOWN CALLER
- MikeI'm a straight talk subscriber, and I called this number after receiving various texts. They said they're Tracfone, nothing they can do, and tranferred me to Straight Talk. The ST rep said there's nothing she can do as it's "the system" and to ignore the messages. When I asked for her supervisor, she set the phone down and began giggling and singing to people in the background. So I asked for a reference number for the call. She asked why, I told her, and she refused a reference number & transferred me to just another non-english speaking rep at TRACFONE!. He said to ignore the text messages, and transferred me back to Straight Talk.
I am reporting this to the FCC.- Caller: Safelink/Straight Talk/Tracfone

- DNCR??| 3 repliesObviously someone does not pay attention to the Do Not Call Register. The calls are coming in on my cell phone which is on my sister-in-law's plan and she is an employee of the carrier. Just wonder what would happen if we all called their number and asked them to hold (on forget)

- Dionisio| 3 repliesI'm sick of getting calls from this Co. "Safe Link" every month with the same stupidity, They call about the Obama phone, and I've spoked to them like 4 or 5 times and explained I don't have any problem with my phone at all and I'd even went thru with all instruccions they provide, because according to them I could have a problem the following month to get my free minutes bla, bla, bla. The thing is that I don't have any problems getting my minutes every month and I told them not to call me any more that if I have a problem in the future I will call them, but the stupid calls keep on coming, I'm not going to answer.

- Sherrie B.Receiving numerous calls from this Safelink number..A total of 9 calls yesterday alone..Robo calls..I do not have, never have had, or don't know anyone who does have a Safelink phone..I finally tracked down a number to call them 1-888-493-0768 to remove my number from their list, reminded them I am on the Do Not Call but the rep. said they needed my name, address, and other personal info, including DOB in order to remove my number...HE-- NO!! Told that foreigner what she could do with her personal info and the only thing she needed was the phone NUMBER and that was all she was getting...I have just reported them to Do Not Call, but its doubtful they will do anything since they never do...

It sounded like a good idea at the time but now Safelink is getting really pushy. I am sick and tired of them calling me like 3,4,5 times during the day and evening!!!!!!

- BostonHolly replies to DNCR??| 1 replyThe call center would not give a hoot if you called them to get even. Instead, you would be placed on hold for up to an hour only to be rerouted to "customer service" who is clueless and cannot do much of anything because you have reached a country where English is not the primary language spoken. As for the the DNC Registry, I am convinced that it is another way for the FCC to make money- by selling our listed "registered" numbers to telemarketers who in turn sell the list to phishing and scam sites.
- BostonHolly replies to DionisioNaturally, the best solution is to not answer any telemarketing calls. However, if SafeLink/TracFone doesn't reach a live member, they will send you numerous, threatening emails and snail-mail warning you that either (1) you have not received your minutes (2) and/or you have not made the 'required' 1 call per month. Evidently by not making the 1 call per month you are now a Federal scofflaw and SafeLink will cancel your service. They did it to me. Not only did they cancel my service they reassigned my cell number. It took 6 weeks to straighten it out. Advice: Next time SafeLike Wireless calls answer it and if you are addressed by a rep who's primary language is English, ask to speak with a Supervisor who also speaks English. It's critical that you reach an English speaking supervisor because the headsets used are low quality and the call center is so far away it sounds as if you're in a reverberating tunnel. Ask them to explain *exactly* which problem SafeLink is attempting to address/resolve, then tell them to stop calling you unless they are responding to a call you had placed. As for the "Obama phone" (I've created a board game called Blame It On Obama) the SafeLink program was sanctioned by a Republican congress decades ago to help low-income people and/or disabled elders, such as myself. I paid into the system for 45 years , long before President Obama was born.
- BostonHolly replies to LindaTracFone customer service+tech support work weekends until 10:45 on Sat. and until 8 on Sunday. I know this because the SafeLink phones are crap, SafeLink/TracFone makes so many mistakes so it's a pain in the ass to resolve anything.
- BostonHolly replies to Alex SianniBest tactic is to get it over with and answer the phone (or call back but you'll be on hold indefinitely) , ask for a Supervisor and ask *exactly* what they are calling you about and to remove you from their call list.
