- Mike replies to citi account supervisorThis was amazingly poor customer service. I cant believe you have a job
- SS27 replies to PattyThey DO call on Sundays, no message, incessant calls all hours, all week. I won't pick up unless I know who you are! Leave a message on my personal number, which I provided to you for contact purposes.
- BarbaraCalled me three times. I answered the first two calls and there was no reply to my "hello." I didn't answer the third call.
- Barbara replies to Boyd JohnsonSame for me.
- BarbaraCalled again for the second time today. This time I answered and again there was no immediate answer. For the hell of it, I didn't hang up after not receiving a quick response. I waited about 30 seconds, and finally someone said " Hello Molly." I replied " who are you calling," and again he said Molly. I assumed he was asking for my mother, who passed away six weeks ago in Florida. He replied, " Oh, I'm sorry." I asked if I could help with anything, and the line went dead.

- Mark P.Phishing Scam. Don't answer and block number. See Citibank website fraud protection page.
- Caller: Citi
- Barbara replies to misty0604You must be part of the scam. I think you're posting here to "legitimize" the con game.
- Obvious shill.. replies to Howard...is obvious!
- ANGRY CALLAsked for my credit card number and checking account number to make payment on my past due account. I had called Citibank yesterday to report this phone call and they informed me that this call is a scam. i reported this info to the caller and they slammed the phone down. I called Citibank and reported this 2nd call to attempt to get info from me and they noted my account. This company 800-388-2200 is a scam trying to obtain your credit card and bank info. BEWARE!
- Caller: CITI
- Moe LesterI dont pick up the phone from them, but i tried prank calling them 4 times, during the 3 times they all ask me for my information, except the last guy, I asked him if CITI called me for my information, he said no they don't do that. Scammers spoof their number into this real phone number so they can scam you.

- Leah Quijano| 2 repliescalled me several times, every annoying, i finally called back. got a rep who said he could not locate my account, asked for my ss3 which i gave. he said nothing showed up with that number either. got very worried after i got off the phone— i realized i should have not given my ss#
- Caller: Citicard
- Don't pay a dead person's credit card replies to Julieann WozniakYou are NOT responsible to pay off a dead person's credit card unless you are a co-owner of the account. Why anyone would continue paying on their father's credit card bill after he's passed is beyond me. I guess Citi Collections did a great sale job on you.
- Mike replies to Leah QuijanoCall credit bureau (experian, tans union) immediately and place an alert on your ssn# it should be free to do so
- Mr.ParkerStop calling my cell. This is a new number for me. 5172957273
- lauri replies to PattyWell, the Sunday thing is obviously not correct because I just got a call with no message left, and guess what today is Sunday!
- mark241 replies to Leah QuijanoI was also worried and did not rest until I found out is was Citi(collections).
#1- Do not call back any number who calls and leaves a message. Do not give info.
#2- Call # on back of your Citi Debit cards and ask if number in this case 8003882200 is ligit (ie citi)
#3- Ask them to transfer you. They will ask for an account number - again I did not give them but asked them why they were calling
#4- They gave me the name of someone who I did know and applied for a Citi CC while staying for 4 weeks at our house.
They apologized and said that it would take 24-48 hours before the calls stopped.
P.S. If you do not have a Citi account or whoever is calling you can still ask them why they are calling your number and who they want to speak with. - RachelThis is a collections department within Citibank. I have a citicard and bank online regularly. Nothing was late and I had no balance so I googled the number and I read comments here and thought it was a scam and called the Citibank fraud department. They verified that the number is a real collections department. Turns out I had opened a card a year ago and forgot about it, and there was a membership fee that I owed on the card and had not paid. Citibank (called the number on the website, not the one that kept calling me) helped me to turn off the card that I had applied for and never used, and was nice enough to resolve the annual fee. If I hadn't called citibank back I would have had an unpaid bill for several months - wouldn't have looked good on my credit score. If you're not comfortable calling the number back, call Citibank or Citicards directly to find out if there is something going on with your account, or an account you're not aware of!

- JAD| 1 replyIt's definitely a legit call from Citibank collections. Based on the info I saw here I decided to pick up the call today (they've been calling all week). They said I owed $12 from a prior statement. I didn't give them any info but took what they told me and checked it against my account on the Citibank website. They were right. So if someone from this number is calling you, you probably owe Citibank some money.

- BrutusBunny replies to JohnI was thinking the same. Maybe he should answer it just to have someone to talk to.
- Xander| 1 replyFake number. Called the real Cities and they sent to fraud department. They said they have been receiving a lot of calls about this fake number. I've had on auto reject for a while but they don't stop trying.
