Got a message from a Teresa from Midwest Outdoor Resort that I won a $20,000 Truck but when I called back today the phone kept ringing. Don't think it is legitimate.

We got a call from this number From Melissa saying we had been selected to be finalist for a Ford F150.  We did not answer the call, but by the sounds from the beginning we could tell it was a come on.  In other words it is a SCAM!  This is the 2nd call today, the first caller did not leave a message.  Plus, we had never registered for any contest to win a truck!

Pretty much the same as the others. Got a call, they left a message saying they were from Midwest Outdoors and that I entered a contest for a 4X4, which I may or may not have entered. What I noted is they did't say I won anything, just said I entered. My guess is that they are just trying to get more personal information or want us to take a survey.

got a call from Tawny--saying I was a finalist to win an F150 truck at the Rochester Mall.  Concerning thing is I actually DID register to win a truck.  Seems odd that the mall would allow this type of scam so not sure if a group is going around to these registration boxes and taking (stealing) the entries for a legit drawing (during slow times at the mall)?

It is not really a SCAM but is one of those calls where they say you won something and you go to a dinner and listen to their sales pitch and then you get your small surprise gift worth $200.  It is Midwest Outdoors and they usually a selling campers or resort property etc.  Some people see that as a free dinner and a free gift.  Been there, done that....not doing it again unless I am seriously interested in what they are selling.

I got one of these calls from Midwest Outdoor Resorts today stating I was a winner of a F-150 Ford pickup or $20,000.  She said my name was drawn from a sign-up at the S C Fair.  By the time the conversation was to end she indicated my name would go into another drawing  and I'd be called sometime after the first of the year.  By then I decided I should look this up on the computer and found all these complaints.  Well, "I've got their number" and will be ready should I hear from them again! ! !

Same old story here-my name was drawn and I am a finalist in the drawing for the Ford F-150 or I can choose the $20,000.00 cash.  My key will be in the mail this week and even if the key isn't the winner I get a $25.00 gift card for Quik Trip. Also some other gift, I assume nobody ever wins the truck it is just an opportunity to get people to listen to their nonsense. I REALLY DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS NONSENSE-THEY ARE SLEEZY CROOKS IN MY MIND.....................

I got the message last night that I was a finalist in a drawing to win a Ford F 150 truck. The message was from Anna Lisa and that she needed a bit more information from me. I do remember entering a drawing with my husband at the Rochester Mall around Thanksgiving. I called back after some hesitation and got the answering machine for her. Now that I have read all of this I do know it is too good to be true and there is always a catch!

Entered in a drawing for a ATV. Few days later. Got a call saying I won a couple of gift cards, but had to go a claim the prize with a chance of winning a ATV.  Long story short, had to sit through a hour  power point on buying into some property. Didn't buy, but they did hold up to their deal of gift cards. Also got a key for the ATV in the mail that day, but didn't win that. All and all as far as I can tell no scam. Seems to be a legit business.

    Hi-
I keep receiving these messages too.  I entered a raffle for an RTV at the Carver County Fair last summer.  The raffle box had a sign on it promising that none of my information would be redistributed and that no one was trying to sell me anything.  If it weren't for this deceptive sign, I never would have signed up.  The fair was in August and I am still getting phone calls.  They always identify themselves as different females from Midwest Outdoor Resorts and tell me to call 800-401-1904 to give them more information.  I knew something was fishy when I received the calls so long after I entered the drawing.  Despite being seasonally laid off, I value my time on this earth more than I do some gift cards and some "art".  I wouldn't be at all surprised if these people shared any additional info I gave them.
