I replied back to the text I had received "word of the day", and wrote: Unsubscribe, and within 15 seconds I had a reply text that I would be unsubscribed from the service.

Yes... That is it!!  I did it on Facebook as well.  What you have to do is reply to their text with a text that says "STOP"  and they will remove you from the list.

This Mobile Messenger has ripped me off also.  I find on my Telus invoice this scam of a company has charged me for:  7 messages on my Feb/09 invoice and 6 messages on my Mar/09 invoice.  They charged me $5.00 for each message.  This adds up to alot of money.  I am calling Mobile Messenger tomorrow to see if I can get my money back.  I am so mad.  This is robbery!!!

I too feel really stupid. I've been getting these messages for 5 months and didn't do anything about it until now. I texted back saying to take me off their list, but you were supposed to text 'stop' to unsubscribe. I finally called the number, got to a CS rep in about 5 minutes who did unsubscribe me and will reimburse my 5 months of $9.99 per month. As stated before, we'll see. I'm hoping this check their sending me isn't some sort of scam, like if you cash this check you automatically sign up for something else.

I called the # from work, so I could just put on speaker hold.  I let it hold for 10 minutes or more before someone answered.  I told them I wanted to cancel service immediately.  I asked the guy's name & he gave me a confirmation #.  He also sent a text that said I was unsubscribed.  Yep, I'll never give my cell # out again!  Hope this helps.

Have received three texts so far with information to call back this number texted from 372-15. I have never signed up for ANYTHING with this phone number and have had it for 10 years. I called the number back and left a message telling them to remove me after the first text.
Still received two more. Called my cell phone provider and lodged a complaint. Will be contacting FCC as well.

Send them back a text message that says "stop texting" and they will stop.  I've gotten 4 text message and replied with this message and they removed my number from their list.  I just got my cell bill and have 2 charges for 9.99 each, looks like they are called Mobile messenger; ringers?  I googled mobile messenger and looks like there was a class action law suit that was recently settled.

Has anyone had luck with getting their carrier to reverse the charges?

After reading the above posts I have decided to call my phone company, also. I've received about four or five of these tests. Have deleted them without opening them. Don't know if that makes a difference or not. Thank you all for your info.

Number to call to be deleted from Mobile Messenger is: 1-800-235-7105. Got this from my cell phone company, which also deleted the 9.99 charge that had already been tacked on to my cell phone bill. - Good luck!

Called my cell phone company. They gave me this number for Mobile Messenger to call: 7-800-235-7105. It's an automated number where you punch in the number you want deleted from their system. You then hear a confirmation statement saying you have been deleted. Time will tell if this is true.  My cell phone company also deleted the 9.99 charge that was on my bill from them. Great company! Unicel.

It is pretty [***] up that they can get away with this crap.  This is the very reason why the economy is currently screwed up.
