I just got a call from this number. It actually was the Geek Squad telling me my computer was ready for pick-up.

Did not get a call but this number appeared on my visa bill WITH a $99.99 charge
I NEVER AGREED WITH THIS....SPAM ALERT

Got a new computer did not change the screen don't have components to fit

This happened to me 1 hour ago.  It is really the Geek Squad.  I had been remotely connected and we got cut off.  It was a GS agent calling about the disconnect and continue  discussing the repairs they made .

It may have been the Geek Squad for you but it could also be a spoofed number for other people being called by this number.

800-433-5778 is a Best Buy number but it is being spoofed by criminals. They called and asked for Stephanie. There is no Stephanie here, never has been. I told him "wrong number". If it was a legit call he would have apologized and hung up but he didn't. He wanted to know my name. This is when I knew it was a spoof. I let him know what I think of Low Life Criminals.

I just received a call from a man with a very heavy Indian accent.  Calling me about my computer.  But he called my work cell which isn't well known and my computer is through my work and we have our own IT dept so I knew it was a scam.

I also received a call from this number.  I covered the mic on my phone, then answered and only listened.  Stone quiet.  I eventually said "Hello" but received no response.  Now a blocked number.

I just had a call from this number.. While the number may well be Geek Squad I'm positive this is a scam. They didn't have the correct data and were just interested in getting data..

This was the Geek squad for me telling me my broken computer was fixed.  "Old Marley was dead.  As dead as a doornail."  Remember to back up!

I got a call from this number clamming to be geek squad saying that my computer is reporting problems and a possible virus. I laughed and said I built my computer myself but nice try.

It was Geek Squad automated message letting me know that my laptop was ready for pickup & to make a reservation to pick it up if I didn't have 1 setup already.

Nice move Geek Squad!  Why on earth would you call people from a 800# with no caller ID shown?  I'm not going to answer your call and neither are many, many others.  if you had an identity you could have easily reached me.

They call me about 5 min ago. When I pick up I heard the name Terry, I said wrong number. Then a guy in a heavy Indian accent told me if I was Edith. I didn’t tell him who I was instead I asked who this was and he said “wrong number huh, [***]” and hang up.

received a phone call from this number... I know i have nothing at Geek Squad nor do I use their service as I work on my own stuff.  Tried to call back but cannot get anywhere with automated BS

Called and said I had a virus and wanted to access my computer over the phone. That is a big NO NO with me. Hung up and called the Geek Squad that I use and they said it was a scam. How did they have the Geek Squad Number come up in my caller ID .

Received a phone call from this number and my Caller ID read, "GEEK SQUAD" and because I thought that it was the "BEST BUY GEEKS" calling me to let me know that, "My computer had been hacked and HE needed to, "Take over my computer", which I allowed him to do, but after much time of him going through my files pointing to a lot of  ERROR messages, I became concerned, and asked him, "How much was it going to cost me?"  He told me NOT to worry about it right now!  Later, he finally was ready to tell me what it would cost me, but when he told me, "I did NOT have to call my 'WEBROOT SECURITY' any longer," I became alarmed and HUNG UP...IT DEFINITELY WAS NOT THE BEST BUY GEEK SQUAD!!!

Better take your Windows 10 computer to the real Geek Squad to get it fixed.
