Dell doesn’t make unsolicited calls asking to charge to fix an issue they did not report or previously request help with unless they have signed up for premium support services

Number has been blocked and yet they continue calling.  I am sure they know by now that a call is blocked when it rings once and then drops off.  But they continue calling.

2-14-17 10:44 PST CID= same as calling number. Missed call and they did not leave voice message at prompt. First time this number has called. Queried here and now it is blocked number 292. Thanks everybody. Have a grand day.

If you're husband gave them any credit card numbers or bank account numbers you need to close the accounts and then apply for new ones.

Received this call today from this number and my caller ID said Dell.  I did not recognize this as a legitimate number for Dell that I've used in the past.  I did answer the call, said hello, but guess they didn't hear me.  I could hear in the background what appeared to be many others making calls and lots of talking.  They actually hung up on me.  I have received other calls from another Dell phone number that I knew to be legit, but they tried to scam me saying that my computer IP address had been compromised.  I shut them down pretty quick and told them that if that was the case, I'd call back on the numbers I have for Dell and initiate the call on my end.  I would not give anyone who calls me out of the blue, even if it appears to be legit as these days people are cloning legit phone numbers.  I did call Dell and told them what happened and was told there is no way for them to know if somehow my IP address had been compromised.  They gave me a site to report the scam. Many calls and hang ups. They say they have fixed my computer before and want to fix it again. I always tell them I know they are running scam and to stop calling. I just blocked this number - they will no doubt try again from a different and I will just block that # also. Hi

Has been calling every day for a week, but always after i've already left work. Never leaves a message. Judging from other comments, probably the same kind of scammer i've been getting for a while that's someone with access to Dell service tag records.
