Omg I just received one of those today! I went on google and typed in the number and came to this site!! There was no other source and when I called the number, it was busy!! Does this mean I should call my bank and see if I was charged the money?

This is a complete scam. i was told I won a complimentary cruise at a fair, only to then find out that !) fees of over 300 were applied for each additional day I decided to be on the cruise( only won a three day, two night cruise), plus my original mail in registration came back as an invalid address.  the topper was that when I finally did cal the cruise line back ( after they left me no less than 25 msgs., I was told that if I couldn't provide them with credit card info right then and there over the phone, I was disqualified. and so I was

I was told that I won a two night, three day cruise, through the Durham Fair in Durham Ct, this past Sept., I tried to register, online, and was unsuccessful in doing so, and so I decided to send in my registration form by mail., except the mail was returned to me.  I wrote the whole thing off as a scam at this point, until I started getting phone calls ( in excess of 35-40 total ) within a two week period, often leaving automated messages from the above number.  When I did finally call the number back, I was told that unless I provided the rep, whose name was Michael with my credit card info, that they couldn't possibly hold the reservation for me, due to the fact that so many other people would love to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity, etc.  I did not provide them with any requested credit card info.

today i have also received the free cruise vocher, looking at it i was for sure its somthing fake....then i googled the tollfree number and found this discussions...thanks for everyone who shared their experiences..... I will let my friends know about this and stop the scam happening as far as possible...

Did anyone reported this to any federal agency ?

I can't beleive after two years this thing is still going on. Look at the start date of this thread and then mine. Why has no one taken care of this? I recently just moved and have been flying a lot lately so they probably got it from Orbitz or the post office but I got a little excited as well. Boo!

Absolutely ridiculous, these guys have no respect, I told this guy I was in the military and he said, "oh well we have special offers for military member and college students". Luckily before I gave any information, I googled the number and found this page. Thank goodness. No respect for the military, what soulless people.

My wife just got the voucher for 1300 so I Googled the 800 number to see if it's legit. Last year I was at the MN Sportsman's Show and signed up for a Four Wheeler Drawing and they called claiming that I won a vacation. I told them all I signed up for was a Four Wheeler.... So what I want to know is who gave them/sold them my personal information? Keep track of where you give out your personal info! I'm leary to sign up for ANY raffle now.

the world needs more ppl like you all! i got one of these in the mail and i typed the # into the google search box and this came up. After reading a few post (while still on the phone with the company) i hung up. thank you everyone for the information i hope no one gets hit by this scam.

Yes Joe BBB isnt a god and people arent looking to see if the company is accredited by BBB they are looking to see how many people have complained about the company and see what the company is doing wrong or good and I got to say you might want to shut your mouth about BBB before you speak again because 680 complaints in the last year for this company says other wise joe so go sit in the corner and rethink your life before you say something else to make you sound less intelligent.

I got a letter from them today.  The first thing i did was a Google search.  I found this site and knew it was a scam.  I called them anyways just to see what it was about.  The lady i talked to was nice and friendly, but at one point she informed me that this was her first day working there and was 6 months pregnant.  later in the conversation she said that this offer was specific for my demographic.  She offered to up grade me to a longer cruise but i declined because i could not get that much time away from work.  She then asked me if i ran my own business.  i said not i work for papa johns as a driver.  she was quiet surprised at that.  I'm 21, and i just graduated a few months ago from massage school with extra prenatal massage  training.  That's probably why she was six months pregnant and her first day, so i would be more willing to buy from them.  She then told me i didn't have to make any commitments today that i had 18 months to decide and that i just had to give them email to hold my place.  she said she needed to put me on hold for a minute and she would  give me all the details and let me ask all the questions i wanted.  after being on hold for a minute or so another woman answered the phone and wanted to know the expiration date.  i asked what expiration date and she said the one on my credit card.  i said that the lady said i didn't need to make any commitment yet and she was going to let me ask questions and give me more details.  this new lady said she needed my credit card to charge the port taxes of $198 before we continued.  I said i didn't have that much money in my accounts but i could my Tuesday.  She then said i had to pay right then or not get the cruise.  I told her that this seems like a Fing scam and hung up.  What surprised me was how much they knew about me but didn't seem to know i was only 21 and delivering pizzas.

Yea they sent me something in the mail too, the guy was very rude and told me the 2 day cruise was free but the air fair from mu state was not and wasent included. And I was suppose to have 18 months to decide weather I wanted to take the deal but he tried to tell me to sucure the package I would have to pay 50 dollars to do that. The extended package acutally sounded like a good deal but if if wouldn't have been so rude I might have gone for it. Stupid A** people. Why would you work for someone like that. They are scammers and really bad at it. So basicly you have to do the extended package because if you don't you would have to pay what almost 1000 dollars on air flights alone for 2 days wtf. The extended package covers air fair but you have to put 400 dollars down for that. Don't these people understand that if you did actually do something nice for someone else you would receive more customers. Wow! Don't do it its just people trying to get money ain't s**t for free in this world!

i got a mail today with this free voucher and have this phone number to call. geezz.. these scammers are busted.

I received one my self and I think you should contact the better business bureau and give them the full details of this and contact someone in your area that handles scams at your police department.

This is a an example of a financial white collar crime in the black in white. Too many individuals in our society do not realize what a financial crime is, fall victim, and never report it.

We need to devote taking down the people who do this to other people ok
It is my job to keep it real ok if I could find them myself they would a meet truck people work to hard for the money you loose some but those who
do dirt will lose a hell alot more when comes to my money.
