800-443-1032. A mortgage collection company with very bad records. Always call looking for someone not at this number. I don't even have a mortgage. They do not stop calling anyway.

800/443-1032...Has called me twice...when calling them back, it says SunTrust Mortage.  I do not have a mortgage with SunTrust Mortgage.  Even though I buzz them right back after their hang up, their recording states their "offices are closed."  Please nail them.

Individual named "Milly" called on my BUSINESS number. Identified herself as calling for Suntrust Mortgage and would not disclose the nature of her call unless I gave her my loan number...HAHAHAHAHA! What a transparent scam.
She got nothing, but did leave the 800 443 1032 number. Beware, folks! The woods is full of 'em!

I have a mortgage with Suntrust, but I use another # for their home loan modification department which does not hang up like this one does. Also, I am current with them, so there shouldn't be any collections call. They do not leave any details.
Is this # even valid? When I call them back, they keep hanging up after asking for my loan ID & Social Security #. It does not even state their business hours. Is this a legit business? I suspect this is a scam. Does anyone know for sure?

It's me again. I contacted SunTrust's directory operator and it was a relief to find out that this is a valid SunTrust # for their RESIDENTIAL MORTGAGE FORECLOSURES DEPARTMENT. I guess it has a tendency to hang up which is rather disconcerting.
I am in the middle of a loan modification with SunTrust and I am not sure why they called me from this other department. I have been paying every month the reduced amount they required of me during the trial period. They may have gotten some bad info within their organization, so I have to clear this up. At least it's not a scam, just a bad calling/internal system.

Ok this was weird!  Just got a call from them..and they immediately told me they were from Suntrust and started asking questions.  When I asked "how do I know you are Suntrust" she said "look at your caller ID".    I said "it only readys "toll free number" and she said "right...and we are Suntrust".   I said "it doesn't say "Suntrust" but she said "But we are Suntrust".        

She continued on with questions and asked me some that is easily accessible like my address.  I gave her everything she asked.  She NEVER asked for my SS# or credit card numbers.    Then she asked for my phone number.  I gave it to her and she said "That is a different number than I called..can you tell me the number I just called".  I replied that it was the same number and again told her my number.  She said "Oh, ok".    

Then she wanted to know when I would make a payment on my account. (we are about a week late).  I told her my husband would be going by a branch this afternoon (payday) to bring us current.

At this point she says "do you believe I am Suntrust?"   I said "well you haven't asked me anything personal, so I don't really care if you are Suntrust".  She laughed and said have a good day.   WEIRD!

Suntrust is the actual caller, but they are repeatedly violating basic security practice, expecting people to trust an easily spoofed caller id, asking for personal information, working from outdated or inaccurate information, and generally behaving like idiots.  A very different sort of operation from other aspects of Stuntrust I have had dealings with.  

In fact, I have found these folks to be so clueless, misinformed, and rude, that I have blocked them from calling.  I deal with my local branch, and this department can go pound sand until they learn to operate in a more businesslike and professional fashion.  Since cash flow issues are causing me to pay a few days late, and since they are to dumb too have a meaningful conversation with, I can see no value in taking their calls.

This number did not call me, but I found a note attached to my door today.  It was a pre-printed "URGENT: CALL IMMEDIATELY" with the number written in pen.  Seems very scammy.

Called me ten times today and yesterday

same here.  a man parked a house away in a purple gmc acadia, guy in his 60's, i'd say, left the envelope in my storm door.  envelope was handwritten "occupant" with the initials "smc" in lower left corner.  unsealed envelope with a smaller note inside reading "urgent please contact us immediately" with phone no 800-443-1032      i don't have a mortgage through anyone!!

Calls several times a day. States they are Suntrust but do not have my phone number, loan number or address. Seems strange. Ass_o_les!
