Thanks for this information.... Just checked my messages and had  two calls from Gary Marshall within 2 hours. I have no debt and that made me suspicious, so instead of calling the number back I found the information here. Thanks alot...

told to call the office of Gary Marshall as "they have notified me in writing and given me every chance to resolve the matter".   They also say this is not a solicitation and the voice sounds very mean.  They call every day at odd hours.

I have had my phone number for 8 years but consistently get calls for someone named Roger Boutros, from whom the callers allege they are engaged in a "personal business" matter.  Daily calls from (800) 443-3012, usually 11 AM .  I have a Vonage number with a California area code for use by my colleagues in California, but "Gary Marshall" doesn't know that - he is attempting to call at 8 AM California time.  The message gets cut off at the beginning as he yaps over the outbound message and beep, but the funniest part is that he says he "doesn't want to be taken advantage of".   This is my first response to this site but, as an attorney, I am intrigued with the possibilities for action against Gary Marshall...  maybe I should start a list?

We got a message too from Garry Marshall asking us to call 800 443-3012.  There is an article about National Action Financial Services in businessweek.  Turns out NAFS has agreed to pay $85K to settle charges of using outlaw pressure tactics. NAFS was the subject of 90 complaints within the last 3 years, about a third of them within the state. The agreement, in addition to the fines and costs, requires NAFS to reform its collection practices in line with state and federal laws.  NAFS is located at 3587 Parkway Ln, Norcross, GA 30092-2827.  There number is 770-248-9909 and there website is www.nafs.net.

Mr Roberts, calling from a debt collection agency

I was getting calls several times a day from this and another number. The other number told me to call the 443-3012 number. You know the drill, this is an important matter, needs to be addressed in a timely manner, we've sent correspondence, etc. I found this website, and was ready for their next call.

They called. I answered. Hehe.

"Do you know that this number is listed as a fraudulent attempt to collect money where no money is owed? I'll bet your name is Greenham, isn't it?"
"Uh, yes it is."
"Scam artist! If you call again, I've been given instructions to call my state attorney general's office. I've looked up that number and got instructions on how to file a complaint."
He said: " ".
I heard a click.

Hehe.
They haven't called back.

I have been getting the same calls for about two weeks. I called back and it goes to an audex answering system with no co name or persons name so i googled it and found I was not the only one. I wil be calling the district attorneys office today to report these [***] today.

got a message today from same number but person who left the mssg was "Matt McCluskey" in reference to a claim that was filed three days ago.  said he was from National Action.

They call me several times a day. Today, a message was left about a complaint filed in her office. I now know that they are connected to Calvary who is after my exhusband. I have told them I haven't seen or heard from him in six years. They told me to pay $5.00 a month to stop the calls. NO WAY! I will now complain to the attorney general of NY.

Damn that Gary Marshall!! I received the same message. It seemed suspisous especially since I recently did a credit check and my credit it just fine with no outstanding debt and I have never received any letter or any other phone call. I Googled the # and found this website along with another. Only difference is the # he is using now 1800-982-0484. Beware of this scam

Called twice today, this is my work number.The first guy mentions 'correspondnce we have sent you' the second says thay have made numerous attemps in the past' As thay don't say who thay are looking for, and I haven't recieved anything in the mail, I don't think it's me they're looking for. I will not call them back.

"Fred" called & said it was a "personal" call, called my mom !! # was 800-443-3012 ext 2424

My number that was called has been mine for 19 years.

Just received yet another call indicating a need to return a call to this 800 #. I called back to tell them they had the wrong # since they were looking for someone named David and they hung up on me. I call back 3 times and they kept hanging up on me, saying that my (cell phone) number had already been removed.

I have been getting several calls from a Mr.Roberts. Then just on Monday I got one from a lady who said it was set for litigation. Then back to Mr. Roberts who states there is still time to work things out. This has been going on for 2 or 3 months now. UGH! I have tried to call them back to let them know they have the wrong # but only get the automated thing. The calls come in from 800-982-0484 but tell you to call back at 800-443-3012. I am going to call the Attorney General.

Please let me know if you start any class-action against this group.  I am called twice daily, 6 days a week, around 8am and 1pm (PST).  Three different messages, two men, one woman, all threatening.  Because I work in the Software world, I immediately googled the phone numbers and learned that this is a scam.  My credit rating is fine and I knew I had no outstanding debt.  If we see an 800 number pop on the caller ID, we just ignore the phone.  It's more annoying than anything else.  Please alert people to NOT return these calls, it puts their phone number in a loop that is difficult to extricate yourself from.

same call as everyone else - different names.  Not in debt, and it's so annoying.  I want it to stop.  1-800-443-3012.
