- Eric replies to Tricia| 2 repliesMy wife ordered that stupid PointNPaint too. She thought she was helping me out with this great tool. As soon as she showed it to me I had it shipped back and was only able to get a partial refund (the cost to ship it back). I told my wife to never order anything off an infomercial ever again. Now we got this $14.95 charge from SB SAVINGS2GO (more like SOBs WHO-STEAL-MONEY).

- Scooter replies to JoyceI bought a "Loud n' Clear" in March and a month later I got charged $14.95 from "SB *SAVINGS2GO". Now when it comes to that pop-up that was mentioned above. I do remember getting that pop-up, but I also remember saying that I do not want to join Savings2go, on that pop-up. So, my question is… WTF!?
- BIG post replies to Michael| 1 replyAll info could find on net
On The ShamWow, wonderhangers and other websites - If you note the VERY fine print at the bottom of the
order page (relating to a $10 discount offer), it reads as follows:
“You’ll receive your membership welcome e-mail (from saving2go) within 3 days and can, at that time,
access your benefits, including your $10 Cash Back. Your discounts are free for the next 30 days, plus all
the valuable benefits of Savings2Go. If you are satisfied during your trial, do nothing. All your
Saving2GO discounts and benefits will automatically continue for just $14.95 a month. Savings2Go benefits
may be enhanced or modified at any time without prior notice. If at any time you are not completely
satisfied during your trial or thereafter, simply call Savings2Go at 1-888-448-0166 to let us know you
wish to cancel and you’ll owe nothing more. All your benefits and access will then be canceled
immediately. All the money you save and the $10 Cash Back are yours to keep!”
The catch—and it’s a big one—is that if you didn’t notice or simply randomly deleted the savings2go
“membership welcome email” as trash or spam and didn’t immediately contact them to cancel your AUTOMATIC
ENROLLMENT, you will be billed each month in perpetuity for $14.95. They’ve already got your credit card
number thanks to Sham Wow. They don’t need your approval or authorization. Your failure to affirmatively
cancel your “free” membership is all it takes.
Not quite fraud but, clearly a VERY deceptive business practice. This is a classic example of what is
referred to as the “automatic OPT-IN.” Absent your affirmative act to CANCEL and opt-out, you’re on the
hook WITHOUT your consent or approval. Unfortunately, unlike legitimate websites, there is no option to
decline this offer when you place your Sham Wow order. You are automatically booked with savings2go, like
it or not. If you fail to respond to their email and cancel within the 30-day trial period or even if you
never received a “membership welcome email”, your card charges being as soon as the free trial period is
over. You opted IN when you placed your Sham Wow order.

The CEO may not know about these dubious methods of getting your account info but If these people were as
concerned about their customers as Melissa the PR girl would have it - They would have the card as OPT IN
as may legitimate providers do - BUT as it's SO very rewarding to have people unaware of funds being taken
from their bank accounts because of the OPT-OUT requirement why bother.
I have read HUNDREDS if not thousands of these complaints and it is a shame that so many are from
disadvantaged people - savings2go has many aliases or partner companies as I've heard them called - I
would not recommend their services to anyone. As for the companies selling products on the websites
hosting these "offers" the have nothing to do with these companies as far as I can tell they just sell ad
space.

Veterans Life Insurance Company - BartrickThis is a joke. They have taken $55 from my credit card. I have called several times and the customer service is useless. I am closing my credit card to be done with the company whoever they are. I am not even employed and now I have to close my credit card account that I used for emergencies, like for food. This is BS that someone can get always with this and is still not paying the price.

Juanita C. Plybon - JUANITA C. PLYON replies to JUANITA C. PLYBON| 2 repliesI demand a credit back to my account which your company has been debiting for 6 months which amounts to $179.40.
I expect this amount to be credited to my charge account promptly, which your company is very familiar with since you have used it so often.
Unless my account is credited within 10 days, I have no other choice but do what many others have been forced to do. Turn this matter over to the Better Business Bureau. I have not authorized you to debit my account and I expect my prompt refund to prevent further problems with your unfair
tactics. According to letters from others it seems I am not the only account being used for your profit for no services.
Sincerely,
Juanita - Juanita C. Plybon replies to JUANITA C. PLYONI have sent your company 2 messages already tonight. I reviewed my records

Jose - s2gohelper replies to JOSE| 2 repliesSavings2Go & Leisure Plus does not enroll anybody in either Membership unless they call to enroll. There are other businesses who offer the Memberships with their products. That is how most people are enrolled into the Memberships. Savings2Go & Leisure Plus have websites for their members. They also have phone numbers to be reached at. If this company was a "scam" they would not have phone numbers to be reached at, let alone a fax number or address, and lets not forget about the websites.

Also, the ONLY reason they ask for some of you information is so they can look up your account so they can help you with your complaints/cancellations. It is done this way for one reason only. So they are looking at your account (the right one). If you do call just remember that the person you are talking to on the other end is a human just trying to make a living.
If you do have any question please let me know and I will help as much as I can. - ReallytickedoffguyMy wife just pointed out the charges, I bought the paint thing back in January, and evidently that gave them the open door to bill the crap out of me. Thats $75, and I want to make them stop.
What kind of protectiondo we have from scams like this? Seriously, if there was a way for me to go down to the office where this injustice is taking place, I would, and smack the crap out of the people responsable. - Georgia GirlEven after a call to stop this charge, I am still "paying" for savings2go. I have hot-carded my account through my personal banker and will no longer pay for this scam, but it has cost me $74.75 in addition to the inconvenience of being without a credit card for 2 weeks. I ordered the Express 101 Cooker - beware!

- Shirley replies to BIG postThe fun thing is, these people only put down part of the phone number. That is ALL I have. They have caught on to us catching them in our bank account and have found a way to stop us from stopping them. I only have the phone number and No area code. You cannot contact them without it.
- shdakSavings2Go & Leisure Plus accept and collect memberships that have been captured by very deceptive business practices through sales of products that have been ordered or otherwise, Be careful when you order and read all the fine print...
In my opinion, technically Savings2Go & Leisure Plus are barely operating legally, and this shows why consumers needs laws in place to protect against deceptive business practices such as this. The opt-In & opt-out laws need to be revised, and new laws put in place to force businesses to show clearly what they are offering upfront. - alisonI have had the same problem with them and have called to cancel them numerous times with no avail. I finally contacted the credit card company and they are filing a dispute and I will contact an attorney...this has been going on for almost a year now.
