- Gwen replies to AJWhen I received a call from this number and the person said that they were from Bank of America they asked me to verify my address for security reasons. I refused and they gave me the phone number. I then contacted BoA directly (didn't call the number provided) and verified that all my accounts were up to date with no issues. They also confirmed that they wouldn't ask for person information on a phone call. I say this is bogus.
- MycaThey called looking for some other person and said if I was not that person to call them back and tell them. Right
- Caller: BofA home mortgage dept
- MycaBarbara Zage must not be paying her mortgage. Ok, after a couple of weeks of calls and messages I answered it. They give you. "If this is not her please press 1" then "should we wait for her to come to phone". Then different options including they have a wrong number press 2. THEN "you must stay on the phone to speak to a representative to be taken off our list." BS I did not cause this problem. They have bothered me enough. Have had same phone number for 20 years. Getting a phone blocker or a note from my lawyer. I should track down Barbara!
- Caller: Bank of Anerica

- MycaI've been called for months for some other person name. I called back and it did answer Bank of America, with all the number choices. I choose 0#0#0# which was not a choice and was transferred to an American accented lady. I told her I knew it wasn't her personal issue, but in the robo call it gave an option to press s number and say it wasn't the right phone number, which I did. I told her it then says call another number to have your number taken off the list. I told her according to my lawyer, this is true, that if I did that, push the button that says you have the wrong number, I have no obligation to call another number. If they continue to call, it is harassment. It is their problem, not mine. I told her they need to fix their calling routine. They have called up to 3 times a day! So we will see.

- IndianRivers(800) 451-6362, 12-Feb-2017. BofA-HELOC calling about a missed Feb payment. I quickly hung up to check my account online. Sure enough, I missed it because my auto-pay date expired so I did an immediate online tranfer payment & I renewed my auto-pay with a new end payment date.

- JohnCall and leave no message. Only know they claim to be Bank of America based on the previous reports. Just so people here know; we've talked to our banker. BOA won't call. They only do business by letter. This is most likely, 100% a scam. Report this number to your bank.
- Caller: Claims to be Bank of America
- RickIn my case it really is Bank of America re HELOC. Though I guess theses days there's always the possibility someone could spoof the number and *pretend* to be BofA.
- Caller: Bank of America
- RickMeant to add, regarding the person who thought it was bogus because they called back BoA, that company is a huge bureaucracy, and I have had one department be completely clueless about a legitimate call I got from another department. But you still have to be careful.
- Caller: Bank of America

- Bridge for Sale! lol replies to GlennIf you think the only way to obtain your soc/sec number is to ask for it...HAHAHA. You are a target!
- JulieI received a call from this number today. Because the guy wouldn't give me any information until I verified my address, a big red flag went up. Sure enough, its a scam. Thank goodness for common sense and being aware.
- Caller: B of A (scam)
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- DeidraB of A caller, kind of Same as everyone else, however I called the number on the back of our credit card, NOT THE SAME number, they checked everything, nothing wrong. The woman I spoke with said it's a scam to get our SS#'s. And to just ignore it and report it. If they call again don't answer, or hang up, either way DON'T talk to them! AND NEVER GIVE THEM YOUR SS#!! IF there is something wrong with an account, they will contact you by mail.
- Caller: Claim they are B of A BUT NOT
- Call type: Scam suspicion
