- Jacquelynthis is FedEx. It's an automated caller telling me that my package is ready for pickup at their pickup location. Not a scam.
- Caller: Fedex
- Call type: Event reminder
- JD replies to dgDitto but a woman called this morning. Unfortunately in the confusion I gave her my cell phone as she said she needed to text me the tracking number (which, of course she never did). First she said it was for Mr then when she said the full name and I said that was me. She asked me if i'll be home for the next hour as they were going to deliver a parcel. I said, Yes. Then I started thinking this was weird, so decided to call the number back. Sounded like a genuine Fedex number, when the agent (another differently accented woman) came on line, I explained about the call and wanted to make sure it was Fedex number. She just said,"sorry, it may have been a mistake on their part, they'll investigate and call me back". I asked her if she has my name and number, she said "yes" and put the phone down. Now I'm thinking that was weird too as I didn't tell her my name. Now I'm wondering if they were casing my house!!!
- JanetI received a call and voice mail from this #, the message said to call 377-875-2274. I googled the area code....it is in Monaco! So I called the Fed Ex # and asked them if they had tried to contact me. They said possibly if I had a package coming. I did, but it was coming USPS, Some scammer is using FedEx # to hide their actual number!
- Caller: Fed Ex (not)
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- Mala Doshi replies to WII got a call too with Indian accent saying I have a package he wanted my cell phone no to send
Me a text I questioned as why that was needed since it was not normal and he hung up on me
Called same number back and fed ex said they don’t have anything in the system for me
This is weird and definitely seems like a scam - Lak Mak
- TitoI missed a FedEx delivery from Amazon and wanted to try to pick it up in person. 800-463-3339 was the phone number given for FedEx in the tracking email I received from Amazon. Legit number unless some dbag is spoofing the number.
- Caller: I called them
- Call type: Valid
- SoniaHeavily accented man introduced himself as Richard from FedEx. He was very aggressive in figuring out my cell phone #, I would describe this person as an individual with highly excitable stupidity in his voice. Those scammers know my home # and trying to harass me frequently, now they need my cell #. It looks like “Richard” himself posted all those multiple confirmations on 800-notes, that 800-463-3339 is a legit #. SCAM, SCAM, SCAM
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- ManuGot a call. Scam. Wanted my cell phone number! Probably spoofing the FED EX number.
- Caller: 800-GO-FEDEX

- JeansI received a call today from this #. A gentleman with a moderate accent asked for (someone's name they found in the phone book). When I asked who was calling, he said his name was 'Robert Williams' and that they had a package from Health Canada. I knew it was a scam so when I asked for his extension to call back, he gave me extension 2463 and a certain tracking # that does not work in the website. I called FedEx to report this, customer service said they were aware that scammers were using their 1-800 # and the fraud dept is working on this. As well, 'Robert Williams' does appear in Linkedin, however, he is the Managing Director, Worldwide Services for FedEx, I highly doubt he makes outbound calls asking when you'd be home for a delivery! In short, this # is legit, but is also being used by scammers. Beware.

Second - do you honestly think someone who posted in 2010 will return to see your reply? - post pending moderator approval

- DavidThe call sounded like it was some kind of fraud. Sounded like the initial call was placed from a foreign call center. And they requested personal information. I hung up and called FEDEX, and gave them my address. There was no package scheduled to be delivered to my address.
