Called our business and left a voice mail asking how FedEx can help our business. We do have a FedEx account that is used maybe a few times a year to ship documents. Not used enough to waste my time calling them back. I have no need for FedEx to "help our business".

FEDEX appeared on Caller ID.  I picked it up as I was expecting package delivery the following day.  I said hello, got no answer from caller after waiting 10 seconds, so I hung up.  Who knows?

Caller ID read 800_GO_FEDEX, found it fishy so I didn't answer. Could be spoofed.

If it were actually FedEx, they would leave a message. Scammers frequently spoof legitimate phone numbers in an attempt to convince people their scam is real.

The number ID could also be used by scammers since it's widely known to be legit.  Not every call displaying this number ID is necessarily from FedEx.

caller ID came up as \"800_GO_FEDEX\", that's odd. A woman asks "Hi is this *female name*" I said no. Then she asked for someone in our other office claiming she left her numerous messages and a scheduled call with that person but never got through to them. doesnt make sense that if she worked with them directly and left her messages, she should have their direct line. why isnt she calling the main line?

I don’t think it’s Fed Ex any longer an automated message says something about Microsoft Support don’t hang up. So I hung up

I found this number in my smartphone directory LINKED to my phone, the Whitehouse phone & several other govt phones. None of which 'I' put in my phone directory.
Search your linked accounts!  If you don't know how, I'm no help. My service provider found it for me after I had been hacked on a healthcare website.

It’s def not fed ex

This is a scam or phishing scheme, 100%. Looks like they're using a FedEx number to scam you using those apps or whatever, so that when you actually Google the number, you'll see all these legit results for FedEx. Very rude guy with an East African accent keeps asking for the cell number of the homeowner because there's a package from the 'uhh... United States' that needs to be delivered. Soon as I asked him his name and actual reference number, he hung up. Vile beings, these scammers. If still uncertain, you can simply call FedEx to confirm if package is coming (likely not).

If it was fed ex woudln't you think they'd leave a message if you do not answer?
Has anyone had fed ex leave a message from this number?  I have not.

This number is being spoofed by boiler rooms, scammers, and collection agents - please be aware!

The only way to know the difference is the Caller ID information.  If it shows up with just the # (800-463-3339) then it is NOT LEGIT.

If the Caller ID lists the phone number and then says GOFEDEX, that is the appropriate or accurate caller.

Yes, it's FedEx, but I'm not expecting a package and the called ID that came up on my vm was for a company called Avaya Aura. That company seems to be legit, but I have no idea who they are. They say they have a package for me for delivery before 8pm Wednesday and they want to make sure someone can sign for it. Well, I won't be there, but it's a Fortune 500 company, so I guess someone can sign for my mystery package!

Fraud

FEDEX trying to collect a 12 years old bill.....!!....kind of annoying.

FEDEX at times just have a rep call to make sure they meet all my needs.
Would be better to NOT call at all with a message like that, i.e. unrelated to a shipment.
I do not NEED to check another useless voicemail.
