They said they were fedex. And it was a fedex number too. But someone spoofed this number and told me my package was left in the apt office. Went to apt office, no package.  When I called back on that number I was able to talk to the actual/genuine fedex representative and I was told that there was no package left in the apt office and I believe him because I wasn't expecting any packages. Whoever called me was trying to find out if I/my family still live in that address.  So, be careful people, frauds are spoofing telephone numbers these days.

Note - any commenter here that says this is not a scam is lying and IS the scammer trying to make you think it is all okay.  800 463 3339 might be fed ex and this is the number they leave on your voicemail but they DO NOT CALL FROM THIS NUMBER.  FED EX DOES NOT CALL ANYONE.  THE VOICEMAIL EVEN SAYS "FED EX EXPRESS" WHICH IS NOT FEDEX - AND IS DESIGNED TO FOOL YOU.  ANSWER THEM AND YOU WILL GET ROBBED!  They are trying to find out when YOU WONT BE HOME TO ROB YOU.  OR GET PERSONAL INFO. THIS IS A SCAM.  DO NOT INTERACT WITH ANYONE ON THE PHONE, LET IT GO TO VOICEMAIL, UNLESS YOU KNOW THEM PERSONALLY.   IF IT IS REALLY IMPORTANT, THERE ARE NUMBERS YOU SHOULD LOOK UP YOURSELF ON YOUR OWN BILLS. AND SAVE YOUR SELF MISERY AND DONT ANSWER.  IF THEY ASK "CAN YOU HEAR ME?"  YOU NEED TO HANG UP BECAUSE IF YOU SAY "YES" THEY CAN THEN CHARGE 100'S OF DOLLARS TO YOUR PHONE ACCOUNT.    Always let voicemail pick up.  You will get 10 lower your credit card Bill's alerts from 10 different LOCAL numbers.  Tell your SENIOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS, PROTECT YOUR LOVED ONES!

I got this call about medicine I was expecting and was going to do as they said and wait to sign for the delivery.  I checked it out and found it to be a scam so I will let them miss this delivery.

Spoofing will cause your caller ID to display a legitimate number....a common practice of scammers.  Call them instead, if you think it's a legit call.

I wish they would come to my house. I've been dying to see how my mastiff and pit bull's security training works outside of the field.

I received a text about a delivery but was unsure it was actually from FedEx as I was not expecting a FedEx delivery.

I had a call from this number and they left a voice mail which was just a series of annoying noises. I was not expecting anything from FedEx. It showed up on caller ID as -800-FedEx with the above number. I do not answer any calls that I don't recognize.

6-24-19, @ 2 pm.  “1-800-GO-FEDEX” from 1-800-463-3339.  No message left on answering machine.  Googled this phone number and looks like a fake, as others have said.  Chagin

A FedEx scam ? Geez ... what's next .. an IRS scam ? Oh wait . Never mind . We've already had that one alone with a plethora of other scams desperate to part you from your hard earned cash ... or worse .. your credit and your ID .And golly .. so much for the FCC's platitudinal efforts to allow the phone companies to block these RoboCall scams . But then again ... did anyone expect them ( the phone companies ) to do anything ?

As far as messages left by  this one .... a momentary blip of a very computerized voice ... and then a series of synthesized brass playing the same note in almost a morse code rhythm

I never answer calls I don't recognize, but I have gotten a few calls from this number and they always leave a message.  It is a legit FedEx number, advising of a package that needs a signature.  They might call at any time of day, but on occasion have called considerably earlier than 9 am, which I consider discourteous for any non-emergency call.

Just got a call from this number and, not recognizing it, didn't answer. Now I find that it's FedEx; we are expecting a shipment of expensive medicine tomorrow. Wouldn't it make sense to have the caller ID say FedEx instead of Not Provided?
