Letting all of us take care of you and your ten children you are the reason there should be zero assitants for people who dont care to help themselfs. Hope your great paying job can afford you a house and cars and everything else that your going to need credit for cus if your job is paying cash means that isnt much of a business either so good luck with that.
- Never had a student loan replies to mmretired| 1 replyI also do not have any debt, never had a student loan and have had my number for over thirty years. I am sure the first responses above are from that company putting fear into people. They call at 8 am and after 9 pm.
- BigA replies to Never had a student loanThey are only legally allowed to call you between the hours of 8 am and 9 pm your time, unless you have given them permission to call outside those hours. Using the information I have posted above:
You need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation, cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (think of it as the best $6.47 you ever invested). Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it. Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter. You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to. Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment. If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it. Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front): http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

I would think that the difference in first and last name would be a big red flag plus my phone number. He said they use multiple search tools, well I would think the post office for a forwarding address would be there first tool.
- Caller: General Revenue
- Call type: Debt collector
- BigA replies to JonesDoing a proper search and calling the right person costs money. Debt collectors don't care who they call, or if you owe money. They simply want someone, anyone to pay them. This bunch is well known for violating federal and state laws while collecting. I would suggest that you use the information I have provided to at least report them. There was no reason for them to bother you.
- LuzThis number called me left a voicemail with my name but asking for a personal I don’t know.
- Um.. replies to don'tplay'emHey, umm... garnishments don't require a bank account... student loans can garnish your PAYCHECK, your TAX RETURN, ANY INCOME you are recieving.
Second. "Pay your bills scumbag' ? How about mind your own business loser. You should be thankful your life hasn't been that hard. But...if you paid ALL of your bills YOU wouldn't be looking up this number so... take your own advice.
