I got this call today too, left a message ( onlyhalf of it was recorded), saying they are from CIBC, and call me to visit their branch? what the hell is it?

But the telephone number shown on the caller id display does not match with their official telephone number, strange. should i call them back?

Recorded message claiming to be from CIBC, telling me that they extended their banking hours.  Since I never go to a CIBC bank, I simply do not care.

Been called several times by this number and when I answer there's just air on the other end. If it IS CIBC, then I don't know why they'd be calling me because I don't have any account with them.

I received a call from this number. They left a message that I needed to call back. That they wanted to discuss regarding a change of fees .b The Id call didn't match to CIBC.  I called back to CIBC and they told me that they didn't have idea about that call.

Caller ID said CIBC.  When I answered, James said he was with TD and was just confirming that I had made an $850.00 purchase to an airline.  He mentioned a card starting with 4724, then said 4520.  He put me on HOLD.
I hung up - have no cc with 4724.

I dialed for phone banking to pay my bills. After I closed I noticed the name on my display Saud PIONEER GAS STATION. It looks like my CIBC phone contact has been hacked. I'm waiting for CIBC to call me back so I can talk to an actual person.

This number is definitely being used by fraudsters --- had to change all my cards last week because I fell for it. CIBC doesn't seem to understand when I tell them because yes, it does appear as a CIBC number  But they try to get your PIN number and even try to get into your phone or computer to set up a CIBC "Fraud alter" --- don't fall for it.

I called 8004652422 per the recording on CIBC statement for telephone banking.  I received a special offer notice for 50+ press 1 under 50 press 2.  I pressed 1 and a gal started on the offer for free medic alert info I hung up and called back.  This time I pressed 2.  The call was disconnected.  No other options were available.  June 11, 2021

This number called my house phone and assumed who I was when I answered the phone. But I instead changed my name to Anna to see who they were really calling for. Suddenly Anna was on their list and that they could lower the interest rate on my Visa card. I don't have a Visa card.  To make a long story short, these are scammers and they are terrible at it. All they do is guess what bank you are with and try from there. Do not fall for this!!!!!! Do not give out personal information. Do not do anything over the phone. If you want to call your bank at their established telephone number to verify something with them, do that. Just don't use any numbers or email addresses provided by the caller.

Be very careful. These fraudulent callers are very convincing. They mask the call I’d to make it look legitimate. It’s better to tell them you will call them back after you speak with someone from your branch . I’ve found the scammers will try to convince you otherwise. Do not give out any information. They pretend to have your credit card or bank card number by giving you the first few numbers then ask you to complete the rest of the card number. When I challenged them they just hang up.
Always give a name like Paul Smith or Ron white yet they are very East Indian and very unlikely to have such a name. They mask that same 800 number for most Canadian banks ( not the real number they are calling from) . Just be very careful because once they get a bit of information they gain access to so much more.
My life has been frustrating for some time now.

Received numerous calls from this number trying to say they were calling about my credit card. They were trying to get my information. Talked to my Bank and let them know the fraudsters are actually using a CIBC number to call and trick people into giving out there information.

They claim I won 2.5 million from CIBC.  They want me to call another number and speak to Sharon who says I have to buy a $300 gift card first.  I hung up.

This topic is almost pointless because anyone can call you from any number using phone number spoofing. In my case I received a call from fraudsters from this number who pretended they were calling from my bank but in reality they just spoofed the number of the bank
