I called this number and they really try to pressure you into buying their extended car warranty. The price started at $3308 down to $2758 with $140 down, $109.08 a month, 100,000 miles, 5 years, $100 deductible for the Ultimate Warranty. As I was talking to the guy I was researching their reputation. There's 11 BBB complaints. They are not a member of the BBB. Most car scam warranties come out of Missouri, where this company, NAVISS is located according to Mark on the phone. The letter has no return address only the company name and a phone number. No matter what you tell this guy Mark, he had an answer. This business is in the scamming business just like the emails folks get that a relative has died in Zimbabwe and they have inherited millions of dollars. The Attorney General of Missouri is actually investigating these false companies to put them out of business. But, like this one, they just change their name, phone number, and CEO - and bam, new business.

I did not get this number call (1-800-483-1759) but they send me a letter that pretty threaten. Front of mail said "Request for immediate action-Time sensitive material enclosed" and also "Warning $2,000 fine, 5 years imprisonment, or both for any person interfering or obstructing with delivery of this letter. U.S. mail TTT.18 U.S. code". At bottom said "To be opened by addressee only please respond within five days". Inside letter I found number to call back is 1-800-483-1759 to speak with NAVISS. This is pretty scam business and I think their business should be investigate.

I thought this was a recall notice for my Honda Civic-which was printed on the outside of the envelope-no discernible company name but a lot of threatening language about fines, and '2nd attempt' also to make it seem urgent - 1-800-483-1759 is NAVISS whatever that is.As indicated above, it's a warranty scam.

This is a second "2nd Attempt" letter I received from them. I wsa not going to call them then, and I am certainly not going to call them now. Hoever, the letter states that they are from Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Permit No. 2257. The weird thing is that they know what kind of car I have but they spelled my name wrong, my first name. I am wondering who did they pay to get this information?

Got a "2nd Attempt" letter in the mail today from Naviss. No return address, lots of language about fines and penalties. The interesting part about this scam is that 1, the vehicle in question was sold over a year ago, and 2, the extended service contract was with HONDA, not NAVISS and was cashed out a year ago when the car was sold, and 3, the extended warranty was 7 years long which would put expiration in 2015 if I still had that or the car. Also, I've moved since I bought the car in question a few times so they are running all sorts of data if they can connect that car to me at this time.

There is no return address on this letter and the phone number is 800-483-1759. If they ever call my cell phone they will get an ear full and I will be reporting them.

At what point is any consumer data going to be protected? This is just ridiculous and I bet there are many people that just opened one of these and panicked and called.

I called the 800-483-1759 number.  They knew that I had a 2006 Buick.  I spoke with "Debbie", and she handed me over to an "authorization supervisor".  He asked about the car's history, and handed me back over to "Debbie".  As I was on hold, I "googled" NAVISS, and found a list of links to car scams.  When I brought this to "Debbie's" attention, she said they are owned by Enterprise Financial Group, and have a B+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.  She claimed that they had 14 million customers, and only 16 complaints.  I told her I was going to do a little more research . . . and  "no thanks for now" .

This is a scam, I work in the auto industry and know for a fact that most Dealers and repair shops would NEVER take this as payment, at best you will have to shell out your own money for the repair and pray the Dealer gets paid and reimburses you..

IF you want an extended Warantee buy it from your Dealer or just skip it

    Ditto!
I got a letter with no return address stating that it is a 2ND ATTEMPT. First of all have have never had any business with them and I don't know who they are. I never got a 1st Attempt letter and do not plan to call them @ 1-800-483-1759. They are pretty good to get my attention with the urgency of their wording on the front of the letter: REQUEST FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION - TIME SENSITIVE MATERIAL ENCLOSED... what a waste of my time!

These people have been hounding me for over 4 years, first on a monthly basis from a number that caller ID identified as somewhere in the northern midwest US, and now with some "important" yet super fake perforated W-2 style notice in my mailbox.

If you speak with them on the phone (never will I actually dial or knowingly pick up) and start asking questions they're GIANT [***], going as far as admitting they're a scam, telling me theres nothing I can do about it and letting me know theyre going to call again.

I sincerely hope they end up hounding someone with too much time and money on their hands who makes a hobby out of finding the real names and info of everyone that works at the company and invades their personal privacy severely and often.

WHEN I ASKED FOR THEIR ADDRESS IT TOOK MY A FEW SUPERVISORS TO GET ONE, HERE IT IS. . I WAS GIVEN 10176 CORPORATE SQUARE DRIVE, ST LOUIS, MISS 63132

I have been receiving mail from this company for thae pass 3 years stating that my extended warranty policy has expired and that I should respond in a certain amount of time. I know that my warranty coverage is for the life of my loan. Check your facts don't be husteled into cyber or mail scams.
They are growing by the thousands every day and The FBI can barely keep up. If some one contacts you offering a deal of a life time or even even something that sound real do your home-work contact your local authorities to verify there credentials.

Called them and asked them nicely to take me off their mailing list. The jerk that I talked to kept asking me why I didn't want extended coverage. When I asked him for about the 4th time to just take me off their mailing list he said "good luck when your car breaks down". A real [***].

I had the same experience as Glenner.  Received the oh-so-urgent "second attempt" notice in the mail.  Called the number.  Asked about this expiration date - she said it was because my three years were almost up under the warranty (not true) or that I had reached 36k miles (not true, and how would she even know this).  Further probing as to whether they knew where I bought my car (they didn't know), how they got my information (they claim "market research")....  When I said I needed to talk with my dealership first, the guy got pissy with me, said I was giving up a great deal and that if I hung up, he wouldn't give me the $50 incentive today.  I said no thanks...he hung up on me.

They are a fraud company, trying to get you to buy a fake coverage. Do not fall for that. if you start questioning their letter and ask more questions, they simply act rude and say your record is a public property and we can send you letters whenever we want.

I received a '2nd Attempt' notification letter from this exact same company, NAVISS. I never received a 1st attempt, so I Googled their permit # and came upon this site and comments. I was going to call, but...figured it would be a scam. Glad I didn't. Thanks for the info!
