- TF replies to spuschThanks for your posting. We have been scammed by Meredian Financial as well. I should have done some research on this company before trusting them. I have found several articles online regarding people being scammed by Meredian Financial.
- Previous EmployeePlease be advised that I, a former employee of Meredian, previously made statements with respect to Meredian Financial Corporation and its officers and employees, as well as statements relating to their business practices. I hereby retract these statements and acknowledge that they were made in an inappropriate manner based upon my disagreement with the Company.
In addition, with respect to any statements made by others that may be imputed to me are also retracted and denied. - Carol CranstonI was able to contact my credit card company and put on a fraud alert. They had not paid Meridian yet so I am safe! I will not accept any more of these phone calls about refinancing! Carol

- dennyGot the call talked to them. They referred me to the Hud site to prove the are legit. Very convincing! Had told me they contacted me because of my payment history. Got to the point of wanting to pull credit and wanted my social security #. Figured it was a scam so wouldn't give it to them. I stalled saying I would check them out first. They encouraged me to go back to the Hud site and claimed they wouldn't be there if they weren't legit. Why are they listed there? This is awful.

- Precy 10/07/10I received a voice message from a woman saying I was pre-approved for loan refinancing. Voice said to call the number 800-532-0755 and no other calls will be made. I called thinking it was my bank mortgagor because I went to my bank for inquiry 10/6/10 and the assistant get some info about our mortgage and said his supervisor will call me. So I thought the caller is from the bank and I gave a lot of info regarding my loan, income, credit cards and even run my credit report which I gave my amex card for the fee charge. Then he put me on hold to run if I will be approved so he put me on hold. While I was on hold I was alarmed to hear "meredian financial. He said he need more time so he said he will call me back to let me know if I am approved. My instinct tells me to know more about the company in the internet, so I checked " meredian financial " if they are affiliated to Wells Fargo which is my loan originator. I read about scams they do.I called my bank if "meredian financial is affiliated with Wells Fargo and said no. I called back the 800-532-0755 and 1800-532-0755 ext1315 guy named Josh and said cancel our approved loan. I hope the info got from me is safe. I warn my creditors for what happened.

- Fred and JodyOur experience with Kevin Friedman/Meridian is a very bad one. Without going into details on the definition of bad, in June, Kevin (who the firm says they had to fire) ran our credit card for a "lock in" fee of over $5,000. After receiving the $$$, it became very difficult to get anyone to return calls. Just recently, we heard from Brad (same firm) says our loan was turned down, and we would be hearing from Fortis Solutions, their title entity.
Today received via Post Office, official T/D from Fortis, they informed us that they would be keeping our "lock in" fee @ which point I called and left a message stating I wanted a phone call tomorrow, 10.10.10, re: my money.
So, here I am online, reviewing alternative actions. One would be to contact the Attny Gen. of CA immediately.
In summation, this seems like the roofer who gives you a quote to fix your roof, you accept and give him a deposit, and never see him again.
If you Google Kevin Friedman (with some searching, keywords:loan Officer, Meridian, Fortis etc) his name and cell number come up.- Caller: Meridian

- Frank replies to DennisMeredian Financial Costa Mesa CA d/b/a Fortis Solutions. Licensed through Dept. of Corporations CA. (phone 866.ask.corp) with whom I am preparing a complaint against Meredian.
Our experience, they ran a credit card for upfront fee prior to full loan disclosure. This violates CA State laws, and Federal law HERA passed by Congress 2008 (Truth in Lending) They don't respond to phone calls once they have your money. After 100+ day, sent my wife and I a loan denial letter, and stated they were keeping our $5,165 Lock in fee. Some outfit these guys are. Investigator Loren Dawson, (714.347.8762) Orange County D.A.'s Office, one of many folks watching...ready to pounce on this group.
Meredian employs some smooth talkers who will deny allegations such as mine, and dismiss them as disgruntled employees, or borrowers who "just were not worth what they thought they were worth." But, find out for yourself, I advise you to follow the trail outlined above, call the folks listed before you move forward.
The COUP DE GRAS, my wife checked, and after the 100+ day wait (plus our $5,165.), Meredian had not even pulled a credit report on us.
I could go on, but, do you really need more info than this?
