It was a man claiming to be from the military--last name of Walker. Claiming to look for ??? perhaps my brother? Had mispronounced his name so we weren't sure. My brother is in Iraq now so I can't imagine why someone in the military would be looking for him at home??? He left this phone number with the extention of 4244 and then a second phone number of 273-2226.

Received a call from Karen @ 1-800-538-4233 x2256 leaving a message for my son who just left for Iraq a week ago. Did not say what the nature of the call was for but wanted me to get a message to my son so he can call them.

These people are a collection agency for military personel or 20 year vets of the military. ASG is their corptate office for collections. They are tring to collect on a bill that was not payed by the member. Yes they are rude to say the least, but i hope this answers your questions.

I have received a couple of calls from this number - the person did not identify themselves or their company. They also phoned two different numbers at my address. They claimed to be calling with regards to someone putting down my name as a reference of some sort. This person did not ask me if they could use me as a reference and I have not even heard from them for over two years. You post is informative although it makes me suspicious of anyone calling from that number. Do you have any useful advice?  This has all been strange and disturbing.

They are from Pioneer Services.  They actually called my neighbor across the street.  He came to give me the message, it was very embarassing.  Rude is not the word for it. They are downright offensive to say the least.  They were describing me to the neighbors and asking about my son! Does anybody know how I can get these people to stop them from using my personal information about my life to talk to the neighbors.  My neighbors are wonderful people but they don't need to know about my finiancal problems.

You should check into the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act.  I believe talking to anyone who is not you - including your neighbors or family members - is against the law and I have heard it say this is a "criminal" offense that these people can actually go to jail for.

I have received several of these calls on my cell phone.  They are trying to collect from a person that I don't know.  I've told them several times that they are calling the wrong number but they continue to call anyway.  They treat me as if I am lying about knowing this person.  The gentleman calling me leaves an extension number of 2262.

I have received several calls from this number for over a year.  They are trying to reach my son.  He has been overseas but has been home for most of the year.  Although he has not been living here since enlisting 8 yrs ago they keep calling looking for him stating that it is regarding a military allotment.  A Mr. Louis Webb is the name given with an extension of 2286.  Caller ID said the company was ASG.  Have no idea nor does my son.  Wish they would quit calling.

I keep getting calls from this number. They say they're looking for my fiance, have his name, and it's about a 'smart buy' thing? I have no idea why they keep calling me. Seriously annoying and I'm tired of it.

Hey these people have pissed me off I have found their home addresses, some people need to understand when you harass a person to the breaking point be ready for what they are going to do to you as a person. Attack me I will destroy you. They are PML and they are having a lot of problems getting their money back so what that does not give the right to call and harass families. It's time to put them out of business!!!!!

I received a call from these folks today claiming all the above but with a different ext. 2293 - Why would the military be calling me?

I received a call from a guy on the other line by the name of Dave Hamilton and basically told me that I needed to pay on a loan from PML. I don't know who he is nor do I know what the hell he was talking about. And yes he was loud and rude in the process. Something needs to be done about this........AND QUICK!!!

These people did not understand after 10 calls that our number did not belong to a "Ruben NNN". The only way to stop them was to tell them I would file a police report if they evr called again because the phone belonged to my MINOR daughter.

Just received a call from this number with extension 2262 supposedly belonging to a Miles. He claimed to be MidCountry Banking.  They were looking for my son who is in the military.   They keep calling and identitfying themselves as different entities.  I just want them to stop calling and leave me alone!!! It's not my responsibility for my son's actions (especially his financial) but it does get old.

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of these people? They called asking for my son who is in the Army and has not lived at home for years. They say he put me down as a reference. Ok, 1st if he did use me as a reference, it was without my knowledge or consent. 2nd, I was not ever called, or asked if I would be responsible for getting messages to my son for this 3rd party so, therefore, why are they harassing me now? Third these people are rude and do not identify themselves on the phone. How do I know who they really are? Finally, if my son does owe a debt (and I doubt that he does, because he cares about his credit score) it would be his debt, not mine, so why do they keep bothering me?
I actually had a woman on the phone that would not leave her phone number or name. I did get the phone number from caller ID it is 1-800-538-4233, but the name says "unavailable".
When I did not give her my son’s phone number, she said, “Ok, so then you are not willing to be responsible for your son?” (in a very sarcastic voice). If this is about a loan, they should have asked that question before they made a loan not after the fact. My son is not a child and I am not responsible for his finances.
Help!!!! is their anyway to make them stop before I go crazy?

I received a call from this number and a "Mr. Johnson" at 6:22 AM.  When I called back and was connected with him, I asked why he called me at an hour not allowed under the fair debt collection act.  All he said was, "So are you going to take care of this matter?"  I still didn't even know what company he was with.  I asked who he was calling for and he just said "Pioneer".  This could be innumerable people.  I told him to send all information to my home of record and advised if he ever called me again before 8:00 AM, I would report him to the FTC.  Then hung up.

The guy wasn't rude but left me a message that he "would have to get other parties involved".  This sounds like MOB tactics.  I told him to get anyone involved he wanted.  He has not called back.

On January 21 2013 1347 local Florida time an Unknown male caller, called my cellphone and told me are you john smith, he didn’t even let me ask any questions, he kept asking me for my name none stop very impatience and very direct. When I asked him who he works for or why was he calling me and why he wanted to know my name, he refuse to answer me, I never told him what my real name was, I never even told him my name period. When I asked him what type of company he was calling me from, he just told me I got this number from your army unit and he quickly hang up the phone on me without telling me his name or what type of job it was. Also yes I was active duty and is funny that now that I got out the Army he or they are calling me. Funny business so don’t say or agree when they call you by your name over the phone because without you realizing it you are agreeing to them by identifying yourself therefore your legally bond to any crap this company is doing. Collector company yes, and yes I don’t owe any money stop harassing me lol

I recieved numerous calls from this loan company.  They are Pioneer Military Loans, a low level banking company that advertises and offers loans to military personnel.

They are NOT PART OF THE MILITARY service!!  They ARE MidCentury Bank, a regular bank.

My last caller was Mr. Murphy, a very stern sounding man who promised me if he didn't hear from my son that he "would be contacting his military superiors, and there was going to be problems".  

They are a bank, not my sons military ANYTHING.  Don't let them lie to you and promise to try to ruin your family or your military career, they have no way to do anything except post a bad rating to your credit report if they don't collect.

I'm offended that they would even imply that they could contact my sons superiors,  The military could care less about some bank trying to collect on a loan, lol.

Its just a regular bank, trying to collect like a regular collection agency.  Nothing more

Just got my first call today.  Saw it was an 800 number and let it go to voice mail.  Couldn't understand who this lady is looking for but identified herself as Carolyn and she obviously has the wrong number. Boy was she rude in the message.  Sounds like she will be calling back by 10 am tomorrow....the deadline for hearing back for Lance Corporal so and so
