Unwelcome call on my unlisted land line @ 4:48 p.m. on 3/10/2016.There was no message left. I will block it, but really I can only block 250 calls and I keep getting 5-10 calls a day. Sometimes I delete a number from months ago only to have to re-block it. Some of them are the similar exchanges.

They never give up calling, now they can program your name and number to show on your caller id as tho you are calling your self. . They try to  steel your credit card info.  The suppliers of their phone and computer service needs to cut their service but they will not because of the $$$  these  companies are making.

I asked to be removed from their call list, they keep calling, block their number, they keep calling

Im sick and tired of all scam callers numbers. Raycal. Recording lower rates on credit card. Press #1 guy answers i talk to tellem what a scam he is he says back to me here hang up the phone [***] called me a [***] here to imagine that he hung up on me cant stand all these annoying scam callers

Not a fallacy. Tracking for me so it shows up as an annoyance call. if I immediately hang up, there is no annoyance.

Not a myth about blowing a whistle. I am not blowing in MY ears.  VERY VERY basic science says sound waves are moving away from my ears, not towards my ears (like a loud speaker).  Not an urban myth - i've never read it or seen it advertised as something to do. If someone else thought of it before me, good for them!  I remembered that I have a whistle for search and rescue... and it does the job.

Find something else to do because complaining about things that I am doing to annoy the telemarketers doesn't do much to help anyone else.

They did that to me a couple weeks ago.  But it was around 9pm when they did it.  I looked at my caller ID and was like wth. I posted on fb for people to beware that the scammers are now spoofing/ghosting their own phone numbers now.

Received a call 3 days in a row on my cell phone around the same time. No messages left. Tried calling back, can't. Blocked the #.

Received 3 calls in a row from 800-542-6791 on my cell phone so I called back to see if it was something important. I received a message that I was calling a number that cannot be reached from my calling area. I have out of country calls blocked on my cell phone so obviously this was someone outside the United States.

Please stop calling my phone

Rachel from card member service leaving her 127th final notice. Everybody before me must have left some hateful messages cause they don't even bother to empty them out anymore. I even have a script of what to say in German to see what happens.

To stop annoying people with your scam!

I heard one time on the radio from a former telemarketer. He said: "Tell them that you are very interested. Then tell them there is somebody at the door. Tell them that you will be right back. Then lay down the telephone on a cushion. Then waite about 20 - 30 minutes. Then just hang up the phone. They try to get in as many phone calls per hour as they can. This really ties them up and pisses them off. Like I said earlier: This cam from a former Telemarketer . Hope this helps.

I get a call from them at least 4-5 times a week. No one to speak to so I keep thinking they are somehow infiltrating my phone info.  Number comes up differently and no way to call back. SOOOOO annoying

Why do you think they've infiltrated your phone #?  Dial any random # right now.  If you hear ringing, have you infiltrated that #s phone info?  No, you just dialed a # that you connected to.  I doubt they care about you, me or anybody in particular.  All they care about is dialing a # and connecting with it and then getting some poor sap to believe what they are hearing.

Also, you are assuming it is just one scammer.  Might be, might also be completely different scammers where each one has their own fake phone #.
