Why would you think Bell can stop everyone from impersonating them?

Received a call from this number, call display said Bell Canada. I let it go to voicemail since I don't have an account with them. They voicemail said they were calling about my "Small Business account" or something like that. The last time I was with Bell was 6 years ago so I'm sure this was a scam call

hey guys ! im working from Bell, and dont worry, if we called you with this #, its my departement, account receivable, (for business) we're not a scam, and we're locate in Montreal(Qc), or Moncton (NB). and the reason of the call its about an outstanding balance. we call client 3 to 5 time with automatique message at first, and after if nobody calls back, its an agent taht will call you :) if you have a voice mail, the agent will let you know the account why we're calling for

I'm curious: you clearly know to whom this number (allegedly) belongs but you looked it up anyway. Why is that? And since you claim to work for a phone company, how is it you've never heard of phone number spoofing? Maybe you just came here to shill?

tried to get my personnal information, to pay a bogus invoice

Just had a phone call with a pre-recorded message claiming to be from Bell regarding our small business account.  Oddly enough, we had the exact same call within minutes of each other on our business phone, and two personal cell phone that are completely not related to the account

Received a fairly professional sounding call purporting to be from Bell Canada.

"Not a marketing or sales call, this is important call regarding your business services"...

I have not had any business account with Bell for years, obvious SPAM/Phishing but well done at least on the message left!  This will catch out of a lot of people ...

Why does Bell allow this to persist?  Surely they could simply block all calls (outgoing) to this number to prevent their customers from being scammed!!!

Received a call purporting to be from Bell Canada. The message said "This is not a marketing or sales call, this is important call regarding your small business account..." in both English and French.  Since I don't have a business account with Bell, obvious this was a scam!
