dear  mr  lawyer  NOT ALL  House phones  are capable of recording calls  from collection agencies and when the agency  knows  you have it activated to do so by the sound of the  click every few seconds and the noise of the recorder,  they clean up their messages so as not to get in trouble.  same thing goes for cell phone  voice messages ... its been impossible to catch them and record them since  devices to record a home phone are  very difficult if not impossible  to locate ,in  some states its illegal to sell or own one

They collect or pretend to collect for many many companies.  I have student loans, not in default,  & they called me over a totally bogus, non stident loan related debt.

Number keeps calling our business asking for an employee that only works once a month

This number has been calling every morning but nobody talks.

I just reported them to the Federal Trade Commission

"Mike" called my cell phone looking for my ex-husband concerning a "personal business matter". He called from 405-308-4396. He left 800-565-1368 as his callback number. He wouldn't say it, but I know he was a debt collector.

So, the best things to do are to read the following, and make complaints at the provided links.  Also, any communication with these criminals should be by certified, return receipt US mail only:
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

I have no student loans at all

Please stop calling and harrassring me and my family

This number has called every day for several weeks and never leaves a message. Called back from my cellphone to see what the caller wanted. Asked for a person with similar last name but no individual with first name ever lived here. Said was a personal matter that could only speak with requested party. Told them to remove number as believe was a fishing call.

They keep calling for my sister, but when asked why wont give a valid answer.

EVERY day, several times a day, weekends, up until 9pm this number and others that have several numbers, I never answer a number I dont know who they are, I have no debt so its just a scam . so many complaints from people but yet it never stops.Why cant they be stopped??????.
