TEXT FROM# 1600 COOP SERVICES C.U. SAID THAT MY CARD STARTING WITH 4626 AS BEEN DEACTIVATED TO CALL 18005680723  DID NOT CALL IT BACK GOT THE SAME CALL BEFORE SAME COMPANY DIFFERENT CALL BACK NUMBER FRAUD!!!!!!!

I got the exact same message, including the same card start number.
Note that the first 4 digits of your card will tell what type/brand (credit/visa, for example) of card it is, so ALL cards of that type will have the same first 4 digits (this is NOT identifying info)!
Do NOT call this number back.

I received the same text several minutes ago i wouldn't trust it.

I just received the same text "Co op Credit Services".  I used to work in a bank.  Mastercards start with a 5 and Visas start with a 4.  I don't have a Visa so I did not call the number back because I knew it was a scam since the number is supposed to starte with "4626".

I also received a call from this number. Must be a scam going around cell phones. My house was broken into this week so I was worried it was someone trying to get credit in my name. I didn't call it back. Seemed to suspect!

I just got this text as well saying my card's been deactivated.  Never had a card with Co op anyone!  Who do we call or forward our messages to so that they can catch these scammers?

I have also just received a text message from COOP Services CU.  This is an obvious scam in that I don't hold membership in that supposed credit union.  Please be careful out there, those of you with an account.  It looks as if they are spamming the cellular lines today!!  Good luck all and be well!!

This came as a text message on my cell phone saying call this number to deactivate my card

I got the same exact text message with the same exact number and I do not have any credit card or dealings with COOP Credit Union!  This is a scam!  Do not fall for it!

I got this message but the FROM: indicated it came from my own number. I don't like that at all. Also the bank they told ME was a fairly local/regional bank in my area, looks like they do a litttle homework too. I don't like this and plan to call my provider and tell them about this so they can backtrack and hopefuly coordinate with a state/federal agency to find the source.

Got text from this number on a relatively new cell phone. The call said my card had been deactivated and to call the number. Didn't call and have no cards that need activation. I think it's a scam, be very careful with all personal information. This being a new phone I haven't even given the number to ANY business I deal with on a regular basis.

Just got the same junk on my cell phone....

Just received a text message that my card had been deactivated.  It was from Security Bank.  Don't have any account with them.  Will not call back.  Scam Alert!

I also recvd a msg from 800-568-0723 it was from: 1+
Security Bank Alert : Your card has been DEACTIVATED. Please contact us at 800-568-0723 to REACTIVATE your CARD. CB:800-568-0723

I did not call the #, not interested.  If it has anything to do with a real credit card #, YOUR BANK, WON'T HESITATE TO CALL YOU PERSONALLY AND ASK IF SOMETHING IS UP WITH YOUR CARD OR YOU CAN CALL YOUR BANK AND GET THE INFO.

Just got this text...i figured it was a scam because i don't have a card starting with 4626 so i didn't call it back.  I simply deleted the text from my phone.

Just got the same text saying it was from Security Bank.  I used to work there but haven't in like 5 years and haven't had a card with them since I left the company.  Mine was a text that came from phone number +1
