i just started to get the calls, and it sounds like super staticy music on the line but can't tell, does anybody know WHO these people are

They called, asking for my parents. I respond, asking who it is. The guy says something that I couldn't make out. I ask him to repeat himself. I still don't understand. He asks if I am *****, and I say yes, but who's calling? He then says "This call is about you and not for you," and hangs up, rather angrily.

The same thing happened to us...they knew my son's name...what's up?

called my house saying he wanted to speak to my daughter...and he knew her name. he said his name was curtis mitchell, and when asked where he was from just said, "have a good evening" and hung up. very scary.

Repeated calls, but by the time I get to the phone, no one there or a hangup. We have no need for this sort of petty harassment in a free society. If this is what the future is like, I'll just do without any phones.

They never seem to stop. Does anyone know of a way to block these calls? My phone company can't help.

They have been calling for weeks. I never answer because it is identified as ."toll free call".  How can it be stopped?

These morons call 5 to 10 times daily, often before 8am or after 10pm.  They will not leave a message.  If you answer, you either get no response, although you can hear chatter in the background, or they ask for the parents of one of our children, or they ask for some unknown person.  If you ask what it is about, they tell you that it has to do with a financial aid award based on "your childs' SAT scores."  None of our kids are old enough to take the SAT, and they have been told this REPEATEDLY.  They then become irate and scream at you and tell you that "You just f@$ked up," and they go on to say"Your child will never reeceive financial aid."  They try to get the social sewcurity numbers of the kids, which leads me to believe that they are IDENTITY THIEVES.  Save yourself the hassle of reporting this to the Do Not Call Registry, that organization is as useless as tits on a bull!

They ask for my daughters parents, and when I question who they are, they hang up.  They call at least twice a day... Make it stop... there is NO good from this number I can assure you.

called this back and got " canoot call this number from your area" filed complaint with DNC

These people have been harassing us to buy sat prep CDs for my child for over a year! They know our names and our child's this is scary.  I have asked numerous times for them to stop but they won't.

Make them stop!!!!!

They keep calling- from early morning to late at night. 5+ times a day. No one is there when you answer! A very big interruption in our day!!

These guys call me multiple times a day. I say "Hello" because I'm curious to hear what the scam is, but no one ever responds. It would be nice to see these losers stopped.

If you have a modem in your computer download the program Phone Tray Free. It doesn't cost anything and is great for blocking calls like these.

This number had called numerous times asking for the Mom or Dad of my son (they know his name) and when I yes this is there is no response.  I have told them to stop calling but it keeps happening.  Extremely Frusterating and a little bothersome since they know my sons name.

I received a call from this number twice today.  The first time they called they asked for the parents of so-and-so and I told them they had the wrong number.  She seem unconvinced so I read her the number - she hung up but sounded unconvinced.

A few minutes later I got a second call.  This time I said, "Sure.  I'm so and so's father."  She proceeded to discuss what appeared to be a prep course for the SAT or ACT.  So I simply interrupted her script to ask her if she has been through the same program, where she went to school, etc.  At some point in the short conversation she hung up.

We have gotten 5 phone calls in the last two days.  I answer and no one responds but there is someone there and then they hang up.  Is this legal?   Who is this?    I would like to know what group this number belongs to so that I could make sure we never have anything to do with them!
