I tried to call the number back but recording states the number does not recieve calls from my area.

800-583-4705 multiple calls/hangups per day.

Solution - called my Phone Service provider and asked to have that number blocked.   Every consumer can do that as its part of your service provider's requirements for a license to operate to provide the service.

Since I use Time Warner Cable for telephone service all I had to do was log into my acct's "my services" pick the tab at the top that says Phone and in the field for Blocked Phone numbers... enter this one that's bugging me.  No more calls.

In my case it was easy but I imagine most Phone Service Providers probably have the same Web based tools.

I have received 7-8 calls per day from this number for the last two weeks. They have requested to speak to my parents regarding my performance on some examination. When one of my parents/ guardians did receive the call, they immediately hung up. Upon asking to not be called again, they also hung up. Calling them back yields an automated message that that number cannot be reached from my area. Once I received a busy signal. I am disquieted that they know my name and number!

I get 6 - 8 calls per day from this number and we are on the do not call list .... I want to get rid of them!!!

Keeps calling with no messages left

This number has called several times.  Each time I answered the phone, nobody replies back to me.  
Today, I called them back and I get an automated message saying the number is not in service.  I feel pretty well guaranteed the number will call back later tonight and yet more this weekend.

Keep getting calls from this number and hangs up.  4-6 times a day.  Called tonight asked for the parents of J___.  When I told them no one here by that name the man hung up.

this number has called too! if you dial *69 it will give you the last phone number that called you! maybe that will help!

AT&T Uverse has an option to block unwanted calls.  This 800-number has been calling me constantly.  I added them to the list.  We'll see if that works.

They just called, and asked to speak to _____'s mother or father (I am the sophomore in highschool they were referring to...). I said neither of them are available, can I take a message? They said, "No.", and hung up immediately. I think something's up.

I have also received calls from 800-583-4705. They also asked for my son and I know they are pushing something for SAT preparation and the female ( I won't call her a woman or lady as that is too nice) I spoke to was rude and talking down to me as she implied I don't know anything when it comes to my children's education. I need help in getting these calls to stop and reporting these people to the authorities. She said she was with TPS which could be a lie but that was all the information I got before she hung up on me after I told her she was rude and over bearing. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Constantly calling!  Selling a program for college bound students promising better grades on SAT and ACT.  I answered the call twice. First time the lady hung up on me after I told her I had no money for it.  Second time I hung up on her after not being able to get a word in edgewise.  They say that either I or my child expressed an interest in their program.  Uhmmm, no.  False!  I wish there was a way to block this number from even coming through!

Someone should report these people... they asked for the parents of my son, using his name, and I pretty much lit into them about the number of times they had called and asked them to be taken off my list. He asked if I wanted to know what they were calling about and then said never mind. I'm pretty sure this is an SAT prep course company and somehow they get the names of your kid. I checked my phone called ID and they called five times in one day.

Called and asked for my mom and dad, and they knew my first name... said it was school related. What the [***].

Got a call from this number, when I picked up no one answered. Called back the number and got a message: The number you have dialed is out of your calling area.

Hang up when our answering machine picks up.  Caller ID is worth its weight in gold!
