i believe this is random, i havent given out my number to any bank or bussiness at ALL. I have no idea how they got my number, but is totally a scam since i don't have an associated bank account, never have...
i got the same txt message every1 else did, except mine was dean@megamailservers.com

has any1 tried emailing them?

Rec'd text msg from fred@hjustinrealty.com stating unusal activity on Associated bank account (which I do not have) and to call 800-574-5892.  I called Assoc Bank and the gentleman said there have been numerous people receiving this message and it is a scam and they are aware of it and working on this, do not call the number and do not give out any info.

Associated is gathering the numbers and having the 800 numbers shut down as they find them.

My guess is they are war dialing all numbers that US Cellular owns.  Basically sending a message to all combination's of numbers.

I got the same text.  I called them and told them they could have the title to both of my cars, my house, and my first born, but not my second born.  They were very mad about not getting by second born and hung up on me.  [***].  :)

text from services@associatedbank.com - said to verify account (unusual activity) call at 800-584-5892.  Assuming it was a scam, I called to see if the number would provide a menu/directory... I just got a busy signal.

I never responded to the scam and don't intend to.  I am in Wisconsin and it is obviously who ever they are, they doing this randomly, searching for victims to scam.

To the person in Rockford, I'm in Madison. I just got it too and I don't bank with them. It's a scam #. I'm on hold with associated bank to notify them about this.

Just got through. This is a fraud. The are scrambeling to shut it down.

I called Associated Bank just now and she verified that this is for sure a scam and that they are trying to get this scam shut down.

Got this message about Associated Bank suspicious activity.

Same message as everybody else's.  I am not a member of Associated Bank.  Now my questions is, does anyone know where we can officially report this to?  So something gets done, because this message was pretty annoying.

I believe the reason why I am receiving this message was because I stupidly filled out information online, that I knew was too good to be true but wanted to try it anyway (Payday loan sites).  So please don't send out information online if you don't trust the site!

Same call with different contact (jason@nac.net). I'm guessing we are all U.S. Cellular clients. Maybe an employee there should become a guest of our penal system.

The purchaser of the "800" callback number is responsible at least in part. Call the FBI as it is more than the State of Wisconsin.

I got a text from this number about 2 hours ago saying that I need to verify my Associated Bank account because of unusual activity. I don't even have an Associated Bank account. Don't you think your bank would call you if they needed something? I know times are different and texting is the thing to do..but really..a bank? This just screams SCAM!
