Received a call from this number a few minutes ago and I'm very suspicious of this call.  Caller ID came up as "Eversource" which is my power company and I answered because I just had solar installed on my house and am waiting for them to come trade out my electric meter so the system can be activated.  That wasn't the subject of this call, however.  Instead, it was a rather poorly recorded message asking if I wanted to discuss bill reduction and wanting me to press 1 to talk to a customer service representative.  I have been an Eversource customer ever since they took over Western Mass Electric a couple of years back and they have never ever called me before about anything, and certainly not about reducing my bill.  My payments are current (exorbitant as they are...) and I don't owe them anything at the moment.  I suspect something amiss here and i simply hung up the phone.

“Unavailable” + Not n NSTAR customer = SCAM

They Called me to cut my electric service in 45 minutes, and I don’t have any bills due.. and I’m national grid costumer not NSTAR, I think they just want to still money from the people..

Caller ID says Eversource and it is Eversource's number but I believe this is a scam.  Recorded message says if you've paid your bill on time for the last six months you may be entitled to a discount.  This is followed by a menu prompt to speak with representative which I did not follow through with.  Read about this happening in CT but I'm in Boston, MA.

This # and "EVERSOURCE" on cid called @4:30 today.  Although that IS our electric company, I let it go to ans. machine in case it was spoofed/spam.  Since they left no msg (and we are current on our bill) I assume it was a fraudulent call.  No upcoming storms to worry about and no other legit reason they'd be calling

using eversource as excuse to spam. this is total fraud. i am reporting to eversource

Called at 10:40 a.m. local time; left no message. Eversource is our power company, but from all of the above comments, I believe this call was a scam.

We got this SCAM call at 6:30 last night (12/10/18) and ignored it; they did not leave a message on the machine - a sure sign it was a scam.  Sad that the thieves go to such lengths to rip people off by using a legit name/number (spoofed, of course) and even sadder that some people fall for it - or else why would it continue?

id was Eversource, but my town does not do Eversource

Caller ID was V followed by many numbers.  A heavily accented man wanted to tell me how to save money on my electric bill.  He asked for my zip.  I said no and hung up.

This number is officially from NSTAR.  But, it came from a telemarking scam company that is obviously spoofing the number.

I get phone calls from this number all the time. I’m a NSTAR customer and we have no snow storm, no blizzard, and I’m not late on my bills. So this smells like a big scam.

Called ID'ed caller as Eversource. Robo voice went on to indicate discounts for paying bill on time. Repeating scam as in calls above. The number indicated is legit but spoofed.

Robo caller using spoofed number.  Recording offered "final notice" to take advantage of discount for timely payments.  "Press 1 to speak with a representative."

Just another scammer with a phony id looking to steal your money! Don't even bother to pick up.

CID said Eversource, but it's a scam, no reason for them to call me.  Didn't answer, no message left on voicemail.

Not a resident of Newton   No family residing in Newton.  Phone number appears also to be/have been used by a Power company... again not resident of that company's service area!
