Just got the same call.  Googled the number and came up with this page.

Got a call saying it was an emergency that I renew the Windows License on my computer. Did not answer call, or call back as they requested me to do so. Please remove my number from these people always calling me telling me I have a virus in my computer and that it has been hacked unto. They want in your computer to "fix" it for a hefty price.

Got the same call today, did not answer or call back. SCAM!

Got this call even though I don't have Windows.  Total scam.

Same message.  Electronic voice.  I figured it was a scam but glad to read all the comments.  I didn't call and will definitely block.

This is an emergency.   Your Microsoft license has expired.   Your computer will be shut down.

I got this call from a human the other day, he said his name was Steve but had a very thick indian accent. and he gave me the shpeel that my Microsoft windows license was expiring. I told him "[***]" and hung up.....today I got the robotic voice...blocked all numbers from them.

I don't answer unless I recognize the number. Woman's voice that you could hardly understand left a message: This is an emergency call, Your Microsoft account has expired. Please call 1-800-596-1743. Typical scumbags wanting something for nothing.

Computer female voice

rcvd call from 800-608-4702 - recorded message by female stating the Microsoft license had expired and this was an emergency because windows was no longer functioning.  She said I must immediately call 800-596-1743.  I receive calls of this nature all the time - all are scams!

Computer generated voice, syntax slightly off because they don't speak English. If you fall for this, you deserve what you get.

Wed. April 5 -  Scammer call of the day comes from  800-596-1743:   is a  pre-recorded message  trying to dupe suckers into calling, saying it is an urgent message from Microsoft.  It is not.   Caller should be reported to authorities.
