    Got a call from 800-598-8956. It's the Volkswagen Credit Leasing Agency. Therefore, my ex-girlfriend's Beetle payment is probably late again.

    They call repeatedly, only during the work day, and have an automated line that says "your call is important to us" before hanging up if you call in the morning or on the weekend.  Havent talked to a human yet.  If what the other poster said is true, then they seem to be a scam line because I dont own a volkswagon nor does anyone else in my family.

    That post about be VW was from 2010, so that association is probably dead at this point.  You can assume that callers who do not leave a business name - only vague messages - are scammers.  I would not be so quick to call back, that usually just gets you more calls.
