I got calls literally every 30 min from these people all day today. I called the number back and told them they are harassing my phone number and asked for them to remove my number from their call list. The rep sarcastically replied with "yeah OK" and hung up on me. I'M SO ANNOYED. This has to stop. >.<

This robocall sounded like the same exact voice saying that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against us. It's about how our Windows service is being cancelled.

The FTC and top communications companies are meeting, to determine what they can do to stop robocalls and other illegal calls.  Here is a link to a frequently updated page, showing the history and progress of their initiatives, as well as recent Congressional bills:

21 minutes in. Told him that the internet isn't working and he said that I'd be locked out of my computer in 24 hours.  Only choice would be to send out a technician, but will cost $199.  Told him to go ahead and send out a tech - he asked for my address, and I told him that he should have it.  We went back and forth on this for a bit and then he told me that his "senior supervisor" has my address.  Said I can only pay with an I-Tunes gift card, and that I have to pay in advance.  They don't accept cash.  Apparently, this is "the most secure way."  Said his name is "John Watson" and gave me an "emergency number" (315) 215-0971.

In the "Internet of Things" world, your refrigerator will have an Internet connection, through the router that your computer connects with.

Same as the rest of you. 3 calls so far telling me the same as the all of the above.  Caller ID showed up as 212-777-7345 with a caller name of William Hammond.  I smell a scam.  Microsoft, like the IRS, will never call you.
