Caller requesting assistance for police officers equipment.   I could not tell 'him' no without him lower the amount of monies that I could give.  He also shared that this money would go to vest to prevent protection.   Even with sharing that I had already assisted with my local police & fire depts. he continued to pursure.

This is a SCAM. I had them many times before. How come they don't say anything but "Toll free Number"? Like they are doing me a favor. RED FLAG  PULLED UP. There's 10000's of Toll free Numbers. I have an answering machine, no messgae left. 2ND RED FLAG PULLED UP.

They called me a month ago, did the same thing did not leave a message on my answering machine. That sends up a red flag, and "Toll Free Number" they act like they are doing me a favor. There must be 50,000 toll free numbers out there. (another red flag) So do they think I'm going to call them back? Hell No. If they want to talk to me tell me "Who you are" then I may consider. (red flag #3) What jerks we have in this world.

they call my parents all the time and they will not take no for an answer . i got on the phone and told them to stop harrassing my mom and he sceramed at me .they take advantage of senior citizens.i hope they come to the door some time i'll kick their [***] and then give them a load of buck shot!!

The phone rang twice, I answered and they hung up. When this happens I know it's a scam. These Police helpers so to speak are con artist and it's best to just hang up on them. If they were legitimate wouldn't we hear more about them? Crooks are Crooks.

How can an agency that collects hundreds of thousands of dollars, but spends 90% or more on fundraising, administration, and "special events" (probably open tab night at the local bar) claim to be a charitable agency?  These people should be locked up!
I called the TN Secretary of State's office to ask, and was directed by some semi-literate woman to call the "Do Not Call" registry... duh!

They called and left no message. When that happens I know it's a scam. That's why I bought an answering machine. if they can't talk to my answering machine they are not going to talk to me. These low life jerks should be in jail and the "Do not call.Gov" should check into this. I had a similiar call 2 days ago, I was here to answer, this jerk hung up on me when I said I already give- but didn't finish my sentence. This is Sunday, a peaceful day and also 911 today. I'd like to blow these scammers away.

Yea I had these jerks call me many times before, with different numbers and this one Toll free Call (like their doing me a favor) they always hang up once I aked this guy some question and he he hung up right away.- they even call you on Sunday- they are scammers and if this is a police charity how come I never here it on the news or in the papers, etc. they are crooks best to hang up or don't answer at all. I wish I could block them out but my telephone co only blocks local calls.

I don't know for sure who calls from this number.  As soon as I answer, I hear a click and a dial tone, so I can't even tell whoever it is to stop calling.  I am on the Do Not Call registry.

Look ... they are scumbag telemarketers who keep 95% of what they collect. These law enforcement "fraternities" could care less, it's 5% they wouldn't have if these yokels weren't pestering us.

Toll Free No. called 12:43 p.m, Jan 7, 2012 - Didn't answer - no message left.  Called it  back, rang 12 times, automated voice came on "No one is available to take your call at this time.  Please call again."  Call disconnected

I was called, when I answered the phone the caller laughed and hung up.

These people are calling me all the time and have given my number to other "police" charities. How can I get them to stop calling me?

I already sent a message. I do not know who the number belongs to because when I call it back no one answers or it rings busy.

How Funny. I usually do a on/off on any number I don't know. But I listened for a few seconds because people like that usually hang up or their machine thing does it after silence. This time I heard some hillbilly accented voice saying, "Hey [my last name], you got quite a mouth on you, doncha!?!" Nobody has ever spoken to this number and we take that approach. I think he's lost his sh*t and just talking to hear himself out of loneliness. LOL And sorry but the cops here suck and make their money robbing people and getting kickbacks from Meth labs. And the FOP must really care about their rep if such a bang up pack of nuts with a soliloquy fetish is handling fundraising. Maybe that kind of comment is what he;s talking about. But seriously, it looks like these people have a hard life without a real skill or chance for a decent job except to get abuse from people able to read and out-think them by hanging up a phone.
