I just got this call. The number they say to reply to is 800-569-4030 ... the number for Boca Beach Body Health and Fitness.

The number has been spoofed and provides an alternative number to call back ... the number of a health spa (800-569-4030). So YES, there is a need to report this.

Got a call from this number saying my power would be turned off in 1/2 hr due to non-payment.  They wanted my credit card info to "take care of it right away".

I am in a large office bldg and have no direct responsibility for the elec.  Just wanted to warn others about this semi-clever scam.  Called ID showed:  "National Grid"

Called claiming to be National Grid and that power would be shut off if immediate payment isn’t made. Only problem is I don’t have a national Grid account and I’m not in their service area. Total scam!

This number has called my cell once per day for the last few days. I never answer it, and they never leave a voicemail. After reading the comments below, I called National Grid back to check on my account and to see if they have reached out to me due to power outages in my area the last couple of days. The rep on the phone was very helpful and let me know that they have not made any outbound calls to me, which I suspected. She also said that the 800-642-4272, which is a valid number for National Grid, must have been cloned again. This does often happen with utilities, unfortunately. She let me know that there are no problems with my account.

Bottom line, if you get a call from this number, DON'T answer it - let it go to voicemail. Then, call National Grid directly to see I'd they called you from this number. This will help them to determine what's going on with their line so they can stop whoever is cloning their number.

800-642-4272 call leave several messages says they are from national Grid. Even call my office number at 7.00Am using a different number.  Just another 3rd party call center looking business.

Mumbled voicemail, whispering background.  SCAM. One of 3 CID's of fake National Grid so far.

This call was from National Grid informing of a planned electrical outage in my area. Definitely NOT spam!
