- SusanFound a charge on my checking account for $1.00. Called the 800 number and they're only open Monday through Friday. I haven't signed up for anything. My bank is looking in to this for me.
- NiraI just checked online account to make sure I had enough money to pay for my phone bill. Then I see a charge for $19.95 and Feb. 2nd. I never purchased anything online or on the phone for UMG SERVICES. I was trying to figure out what the heck is UMG. I called but there not open till tomorrow. I wonder what their excuse will be about charging my account.

- Jeanne replies to 800-653-6433 UMG SIMPMINEThere was an unauthorized charge of $14.95 to my bank account by "UMGSimpmine". When I called 1-800-634-7500 I was told I signed up for their service through an online survey & the first month was free then $14.95 after that. I asked how they got my bank account info (I would never provide that in a survey, for god sake!). They said they got it from Jessica London, a company I have ordered from online. I vaguely remember doing a survey but I don't recall signing up for this service.
Anyway, they cancelled my membership & said they would credit my bank account for the $14.95. We shall see what happens. - KathyUMG simpmine charged my cc 14.95. I called the number on my statement which is 1-800-634-7500. I got an automated answering service with no information as to the type of business or how to contact a real person and no way to leave a message. My credit card company is looking into it, but if this happens again I guess I'll just have cancel my credit card and get a new account.
- ELY replies to Angela| 1 replyI have the same problem please, let me know how you did for the refund
Thanks - jessicasame thing i looked at my bank account online and found a charge for a dollar from this number. i asked what the charge was for and she said" its just an authorization caharge" i asked for what and she could not tell me exactly what was purchased without going through her whole speach. scam by far!
- ana| 2 repliesi had the same charge on my billing statement and when i searched online i saw a lot of complaint about UMG Buyer's Edge. I saw this number online to ask what the cahrege is all about (888-432-5916), a certain Luz answered my call and she said that i signed up for a subscription which i cannot even remember. Anyway, she gave me a confirmation number and cancelled my subscription and she said that they are going to credit back the $14.95 on my account. That i will have to see next...
- JamieI have the same problem! They got me on voting day, and I know I was working all night, so I would never have spent any money that day. I called the 800 number on the card statement, and there was just an automated message saying it was passed their office hours - no business name, no answering service, no forwarding numbers, no information at all! I called my CC fraud service, and they are going to investigate this charge, and see what they can do about protecting me against these kinds of things in the future!
We'll see if I can get my money back, though! - MaddogReceived my bank statement with a charge Call i 800 number. The said it was for home Byers Club...... Told them I did not take it and wanted a refund. She gave me a conformation number. Will check if I get it.

- hbhkWow - just got off the phone with a rep from the company. They will only refund me a small fraction of what I am owed because of a "membership" I supposedly signed up for when someone using my credit card bought something from Skymall. I am contacting my credit card company and having them dispute all charges.

- Deb37204| 1 replyi too have just discovered a charge on debit card for $14.95 made today
Dec 18th. I called this number 800-653-6433, and spoke to a customer service person who tried to give me her sales pitch. I asked to speak to her supervisior Rita at Ext 5422, I am having them take the charge off.
I do not sign up for any kind of membership on the phone or the Internet of any kind. Plus I have not used my bank card for about 4 days. So I know this is a fraudulent charge. Call them and have it removed. This kind of third party billing is happening more and more. The only why I found this charge was checking my bank account online.- Caller: none
- jh replies to AngelaI also was scammed by purchasing an item from Personal Creations and they automatically let UMG SIMPMINE enroll me in three magazine subscriptions. I got hold of the UMG by calling the number provided and they have promised today to credit me back for the subscriptions; however, this is a hassel because I have to remember in 30 days to make sure this amout was credited -
- edwin replies to 800-653-6433 UMG SIMPMINEI was charged $50.00
- Vonna the Mama| 1 replyI was charged $14.95 on my debit card on Christmas Eve. I did not use my card around that time because I was using what little cash I had. What's so upsetting to me is that they were able to not only take all they could from my checking account but then they had the nerve to take the rest out of my savings account. In the process they totally bypast my banks overdraft protection and transfered the funds themselves. I had to cancel my card which is a pain in the butt, because now I have to wait 7-14 for a new card. Plus I'm still await approval from Visa to return the stolen money, which can take up to a month. I did alot of my earlier Christmas shopping online and I'm certain that one of them either sold my infor. or they were unsecure. The stores were 'electrique boutique', Macy's, 'finish line',folica, C.O.outlet boutique. If anyone else has had the same scam run on them by UMG Simpmine, and happened to have shopped at anyone of these online stores can you please post.

- Vonna the Mama****BUYERS BEWARE OF BRYLANE HOME, METRO STYLE, CADWICK, C.O.OUTLET!!!***
It took me awhile but I've gotten to the bottom of this SCAM! Whenever you order anything with a credit or ATM card from the above stores without your knowledge or approval you are AUTOMATICALLY enrolled into a phony club called SIMPLY MINE. They then charge your monthly dues that can be between $1-$49.95. When you call them about it they are RUDE and attempt to gave you a store credit and not your money. Do not accept it! Go to your bank a file a fraud form, and cancel that card because they will bill it again. It may also be a good idea to use prepaid credit cards for shopping online.- Caller: UMG Simpmine
- Pat| 1 replyIn checking my account online today, discovered a charge for 14.95 for Jan and Dec. I have no idea what this charge is, I know I never signed up for anything online. Don't remember any survey on the phone or online, don't do online shopping, have no idea how they got my debit card number. I call the phone number provided by my bank 1-800-634-7500, no answer to my calls, got a voicemail with no name of company. I have filed a faud report with my bank to get my money back.
- Caller: UMG Simpmine
- BEA replies to PatI was told that chef's catalog actually had them on their secure site and I also confirmed this with that company so the moral of this fraud is don't order anything on line even if they say they are secure. I only got a refund on part of the charges. Umgsimpmine is sheer fraud.
