John Haims: "you don't actually know what you are talking about."

Now that we have been properly scolded for not buying into an obvious telemarketing scam by an obvious telemarketer I'm sure everyone here will rush out to sign up.  Tool.

The quality and professionalism of the SALES staff is what makes or breaks company.   If these REPS were doing their jobs CORRECTLY maybe most would not have thought it was a scam

Its the staff that is causing the problems - not the people that are complaining. ITS THE STAFF THAT CAUSED THESE PEOPLE TO CLAIM SCAM!

Why don't you go check out the Superfund project in Green Bay, Wisc. It's the complex of buildings on the river where they are cleaning up/filtering the polluted water. It's about a $3,000,000 Rigid Steel Building, $20,000,000 turnkey. I'd say they are not a scam or fly by night. See for yourself, they're the real thing.

Received a call this morning from Amanda of Rigid Building Systems asking for my boss, but he wasn't in, so I took a message.  She said they were looking for contractors in this area to erect steel buildings, and thought my boss would be interested in working with them.  Our company is a general contractor working mostly on military bases, not out in the private sector of our county. If anyone knows anything about our company, they know that. She left me her name, number and extension, but I had a strange feelin about the call so I looked them up on the internet and found these postings.  I found it very strange that a company so far away would be wanting to work with someone in Kentucky.

I just got the same phone call. I just listened to the message. I went through this 2 years ago with Wedgcor steel buildings. It was $7000 + another $3000 in advertising. Shame on me. Never got 1 job or sale for 2 years. Don't fall for these guys!

Called and asked for someone who retired three years ago, who was not even affiliated the that part of the business. Took the number to call back. Called them back and asked to be removed from calling list. We are a CECO Dealer...even after being told this, they think they can make a difference by getting us to change over. Not happening.

Rigid is a legitimate company, they sponsor an Indy Car Team, build some fantastic buildings and ship all over the United States and the world, I know this because I have worked with them since 1995.  Check out there web site www.rigidbuilding.com.  Go to their manufacturing plant in Houston, TX, they design, draft, engineer and build metal buildings from the ground up.  They have done business for Harley Davidson delaerships, NASA, numerous schools, churches, office buildings, strip malls, airplane hangers, etc.  Don't knock a company until you do your homework.  They do great work.

Received a message saying that they want to give us some building projects. If they  know anything about our company they would know that we do not work with buildings.  We are a product design company.
Sometimes you can just tell by the way a caller presents himself and it reads SCAM all over

I received the same phonecall almost 2 years ago from someone who clearly identified herself as from Rigid Building Systems. The rest of the call is same as what everybody here had. I am a fairly new General Contractor and hardly have any steel building in my resume. I wondered why our company was even picked. I did decide to look them up, went through the screening process, was selected and paid $ 4950. I spoke to the vice president of sales and told him all my concerns (being new, sales support, dedicated territory, etc).

Bottomline: I was skeptical at first but it turned out to be a very good investment. They are a Class A Steel Building manufacturer (structural steel to metal panels & roofing systems) and there is no question on their capability.

Is it easy to sell steel buildings? Just like anything else, you have to come up with a marketing strategy, a little creativity, and persistence. I made $ 32000 net on my first sale, hardly leaving my desk. The order was for only $ 81,000. It will take me 3 months of construction work (plus paperwork, etc) to make that same money.

Rigid Buildings, Great Company. I have been doing business with my District sales rep for 15 years, great guy; excellent support; their steel buildings are the top quality in the Industry and the most competitively priced. I read most of the posts on this blog and found they were mostly secretaries that pre judged a cold call; didn't pass the info on to their boss.

Of course they want to talk to your boss. Do you make decisions for his construction company? I didn't think so..I realize a good secretary screens calls, but who are you to decide which one is a legitimate business like Rigid and who is not? If my wife hadn't passed on their number 20 years ago and I hadn't called them back I would have missed out on about $30 million dollars of metal building construction I've donbe with them over the years. This Company has been a member for 7 years. Not only do they have 0 unresolved complaints, they have 0 complaints period. The difference is that these bloggers can write whatever nonsense they want, a BBB complaint has to be legitimate and give the Company an opportunity to resolve it.

Im sorry if you felt uncomfortable speaking with a person as brilliant as Mongo Edwards. I have actually got a chance to work with Mongo in a few diffrent companies, after I requested the same call he gave you. Mongo offers mentoring and FREE training that can better your company. He also has his own Network Marketing Business called Ardyss International. Mongo does not "Sale Leads" and his services are not a "Scam".  All in all sometimes you read these articles and miss out on huge oppurtunities in your life because of skeptics. Do your own research. http://TysonParrish.com
